Jeron: Do you know where everyone plays Tenkaichi at? Been playing solo for a good while now, i need to play against actual people lol. Also, Will you be getting this for wii online?
Well the scene for it is kinda big here in New York! Our small crew of the people I play consist of about 9 people locally in my area and theres an array of people that play which are scattered. A player here in NewYork gathered over 80 ppl for a Budokai Tenkachi 2 Tournament some not to long ago so if your looking or want to look for people to play offline its good.
Also I have the PS2 version. I will be getting the Wii version sometime when Smash Brawl comes out in Februrary though.
There are so many things that they changed in this game and its all for the better. Its like a revision from 2 and kind of plays a little slower but thats because movement for the characters are different. Visually I cant get over how good this game looks, its great and over 150 characters make more than enough for variety.
Are you getting the Wi version? Im curious to know how online will play. Hopefully it will run ok.
Oh btw they improved on the music…Thank God! Tenkaichi 2’s music wasnt that bad but it had its annoyance with the music but this one is alot better. Also some of the new added stages gives more “free roam” to run, hide etc.
Yeah i have the game already, I just wanted to know where people play. I live in PA so as of right now no one plays here =. A few friends but they are pretty bad. I intend on getting the wii version because i wanna be able to play people. Hit me up with a PM when yall have a get together or something. Ill try to make it up there
so is the comp gonna be on Wii or PS2?
Chipp: Oh yeah I can imagine but when we have a big gathering I will let you know ahead of time.
Hokuto:If it runs smoothly online I dont see why online wouldnt be a good option for comp but usually thats not the case but i hope im wrong. Im going to be doing alot of things with the game and tournament/casual play is definetly one off them. I will always say offline competition is better than online but if you dont have the resources for comp then you have to go there which isnt bad. Also this game has a good following here (and other places hopefully) but again i’ll keep ppl posted here!
Im in the process of unlocking ppl now. Theres 150 characters in the game and I can see over 3/4 being played competitively which is a really good thing. Also just a fyi they redid the damage scaling for this game. Most KI Blasts and rushes dont do alot of damage like they did in the other 2. They did with this game what capcom did with Championship Edition to Hyper Fighting in terms of damage scaling so its more balance now.

My 100th vid. Check it out, you should like it.
Is the Japanese soundtrack available for the US release this time?
From the things I’ve been seeing, that’s a negative. Unless it’s a super unlockable or something.
About the infinite talk a bit ago, I found and he throws around the term, but it doesn’t look like anything is absolutely definite. Combo vid fare, I suppose.
Please dont insult me, those combos were even close to being a infinite. Fuck those werent even REAL combos period. let alone a infinte. Like I said if I had the means to capture it I would but I cant.
anyway like I said you cant doa nything about it, cuz tehres a flaw in the game that you exploite to do it. I already said the 2 characters that can do it, cell and babidi, put 2 and 2 toghter. Its acctualy pretty simple.
And yes it deffintly dums down the game. Beacuse well… youve automaticly lost. So its pretty dum. So thats why I dont really have any intention of ruining you guys thoughts on the game that like it shrug.
anyway umm yea ah… cel and babidi put 2 and 2 togther. Its pretty simple.
This is getting really stupid really fast.
So basically, you won’t explain how it works, but you’d post a video of it if you could? That makes no sense…
Because god forbid, we will find a way to counter the infinitie and spoil your bitter attitude towards the game
Yeah, it’s so simple that none of us can figure it out. Your hints are so easy to pick up.
Seriously, why can’t you explain how it works?
if there were an infinite it would be found out EXTREMELY fast once it’s released for the wii since it has online play. Everyone always wants a sure fire way to win even if it’s cheating so if that guy doesn’t want to tell you how to do it someone online surely will.
Yeah about this all those combos are escapable with Z Counter. Its really tight timing to Z Counter the Strong Blows but definetly possible to escape. I take this as one of those exibitional combos which is cool but noones gonna let you pull of all those attacks in competitive play.
They tightened the focus of your opponent in this game. Before when you could do a combo and teleport on the side of your opponent and there wasnt much you can do about it but now the character has sort of an autofocus now so its now easier to Z Counter (Teleport) out of those gimmics now.
They also took out the the long block stun frame and shortened it. In Tenkaichi 2 I discovered while playing Janemba (First Form) he can put you in a infinite block stun and why I tried it in this game it didnt work so they did in fact cut down the frames of block animation. Which again is good. In Tenkaichi 2 if Janemba lands a physical attack and you block it your done because you cant get out of it at all and the attacks from his punches take chip damage.
Alot of people started just taking hits when i used him but you dont wanna take too many hits from Janemba. Hes still good in this one though. I’ll rock him a little too!
Disagree. Stepping in and firing ki blasts were viable options, and stepping in added a whole new layer of depth to the things you could do. And if you really saw the teleport coming, you could time your own square attack. The whole combo and teleport to the side actually added alot to the game’s strategy, for both offense and defense.

At around 3:23, theres alot of comboing + teleports. The maneuver was pretty ingenius. It put the offense in such an advantageous position that the defence had to react. But the defense is put at just enough frame advantage so they can’t just counter it, but has to predict what the offense will do and switch up the method of attack.
I agree with the autofocus.
Since everybody should have access to the game, I find no reason to upload any more of these after today.
That means all videos I upload will be compilations, fanfics, or fanfic style battles.

The AI is amazing. I find the Trunks purple potara to bring out some of the best in the AI. It makes the AI focus on rush combos and moving quickly.
Also, has anyone seen my fanfics? Just curious.
Improved AI? Sounds good.
By the way, is that the game’s BGM in the vids you posted? I’m a little disappointed that they don’t have the original music, but the new BGM sounds a lot better than BT2.
The Zarbon vs Salza music is all english BT3 music. And to be honest, I like it way more than the original Japanese. Thats probably because I’ve heard the Japanese music since T1 and I’d like something new.
Plus all the Japanese tracks are just a minute long, they get repetitive really quickly. That I didn’t like. The music itself was good though, I liked it alot.
Good news… if you think Broly is utterly broken.
There is a potara called draconic aura, which takes up 3 slots. It negates hyper armor, so even LSSJ Broly can get phased by ki blasts.
Scarf of #17 gives your character hyper armor traits.
Edit: Seriously, check out draconic aura in action!

Yes, Hercule is now a usable character…
lol…MEGATON PUNCH ATTACK!
okay had some matches today on the US version and i highly approve of the tag mode that lets you allot 10 Destruction Points to a team of characters that are already tiered by a certain number of points. ( ratio system? )
it almost gives the game a feel all its own, i can easily see this becoming like CVS2 or MVC2 where there are specific teams that work together very well. right now i’m using Pan/Android 19/Burter. androids make very good batteries for teams that need meter. the guy i play with uses Yajirobe/Future Gohan/Roshi and I think Hercule ( damn Present For You to hell btw…stops rushdown cold ). Yajirobe’s unblockable makes for a good way to make an opening for Gohan and is really good at midrange…
need to play this game more…
