That’s why you don’t play M.Vegeta. But again Android Barrier > … >:3
Meh, I like better.
A lot of things seem awkward in the second, almost random.
this game isnt random at all, to me its just another dimension that people need to get used to
it astounds me how people can be negative because its not like a classic fighting game with the side view, thats not dbz thats a street fighter clone, we finally get something thats true to the product and is actually making things happen gameplay wise, its a new way to play a fighting game and it works, and its only the second game!
i hope the formula grows strong, i see an interesting future if it does
I don’t think he meant the actual BT2 was random, just the intro.
When I first saw the intro I wasn’t very impressed either. I like B2’s, B3’s and BT1’s better. B1 was good if you had cha la head cha la. But rock the dragon didn’t fit that intro at all.
B3 had the best intro music, but BT1 was pretty slick looking.
I’m a sucker for guitar so Tenkai 2’s intro music works for me as well as a lot of the songs you can fight too. WTF is up with the really soft sounding music in the game though? One them made us laugh when we heard it cause it just didn’t fit to people smashing through rocks and scorching the earth.
Yes, thank you Sprawlers for clarifying what I was referring to.
Most of the music is from the actual O.G. anime, which some people like and some people hate.
Personally, I prefer Bruce Faulconer’s(sp?) music in the anime. The themes for Perfect Cell, Pikkon and especially Vegeta is too strong.
HOWEVER, the dub has extreme difficulty of knowing when to recreate the drama. Muffled sound effects with uncomfortable and unnecessary grunting and music being played in the most dramatic scenes - sans “Goku Dies” from Cell Saga, and the somber BGM when Majin Vegeta hugged Chibi Trunks, those were epic - is what kills the dub, but with the remastered DVDs and English+Jap music option that sort of remedies that.
For the games themselves, I prefer Kenji Yamamoto’s themes over everything. Nuff said.
Both anime adaptations have their problems, but I’m just glad it’s still popular and refuse to die.
Sorry for ranting, but I like DBZ a lot.
I just realized my cousin had some more of our match vids uploaded:

I get totally owned in the second round of the Tapion vs Trunks battle. I guess my teleporting skills just sucked =/
^^Also, I agree on behalf of the dub killing many dramatic moments. The dub had some really amazing soundtracks though.
you know, i’m surprised people STILL haven’t noticed

^this is why Burter is my main in this game. Insanely fast mixups and by far the fastest character in the game. Problem is, much like Magneto, he can either rush you down and overwhelm you or he can die VERY easily should you become too predictable / fuck up.
EDIT; forgot to mention that situationally, on certain knockdowns he gets SP Ginyu Pose / Sparking meter for free
Spralwers, the match vids between yo and your cousin are realy fun to watch. Upload more!
I know special beam cannon is unblockable but…without it being charged it does very little damage for 4 bars O.o;…so why was piccolo spamming it?
I hate Burter! Damn fast ass bastard DX. But high speed rush is pretty easy to avoid. With good teleport skills you can easily avoid it, and if the person does a wake-up rush easiest way to get out of it is to counter-dr (dragon rush).
edit: well I updated my 18, S-17, and kid Buu, I’ll probably be updating Trunks (no sword) soon.
side note:
best dbz game ever is hyper dimention for snes
I’ve been messing around with this game. It’s pretty fun. I’m liking SS2 Teen Gohan, Burter, Majuub, and Yajirobe.
However from what I can tell this game is riddled with infinites, it seems to me that any of the speed characters can do: Basic Rush String -> Dash follow up -> [sq. x 3(or 4) xx UP+Sq. (held for a split second)]xN
It definitely works with SS2 Teen Gohan and you can sub up sq. for dwn. sq. with him, and it works with up sq. for Majuub as well.
I dunno if you can teleport out of it because I’m just screwing around vs. the computer.
Bout to go try it with some other characters.
pretty sure you can teleport out if you have the meter for it
Gah I don’t know how my friend did it with Trunks(no sword). He used to be able to combo High Speed Rush -> go sayjin -> High Speed Rush -> Level down to normal -> etc… It was so annoying.
Anyway I have atleast upto a 4v4 with 18, S-17, kid buu, and U-Gohan. Man I love 18 and U-Gohan.
Yes, but those can be teleport escaped because you’re throwing out a charge attacks. Any combo that throws out a charge attack is teleport escapable.
Now do that from behind and cancel your charge attacks so you can restart your combo without your opponent turning around, that’s your infinitie.
He needs to be high in the air to do that. Plus you can teleport escape that too, even if you get caught into the first rush.
Word. So lemme see if I understand the game engine a bit better now.
You can teleport out of combos and block strings if your opponent throws a charge move that would otherwise combo with the attack string?
to kind of try and sum up Thongbop Bebop’s definitions of the combo mechanics in this game ( although, if you can find it, you really should steal a copy or back issue of tips and tricks december 2006 ) - while building combos, you can tell if they can teleport out or not by checking if they’re in stun recovery.
any of the normals and basic rushes that cause “flying kick stun” ( after a series of flying kicks ), “heavy finish stun” ( they stomach crumple ), or “smash stun” ( they blow back across the screen and you can use a dragon homing to continue the combo ) can be comboed guaranteed. you can also link any Blast 2 into another Blast 2 after Transformations ( or Tags if you’re playing teams ).
again, props to Thongboy for this. this combo will kill most opponents:
Trunks no sword:
square x 4, triangle ( flying kicks ), square x 3, triangle ( heavy finish )
up and square ( smash ), X into square ( dragon homing pursuit )
L2, Up and Triangle ( high speed rush )
R3 ( tap right analog in for Transformation )
L2 Up and Triangle ( link another high speed rush )
L2 + L3 + R3 ( L2 and both analogs to call Goten )
Goten:
L2 + Up + triangle ( link assault )
R3 ( Goten Transforms to SSJ1 )
L2 + Up + triangle ( link another assault )
X, square, triangle, square ( dash up sonic impact combo )
untechable. make sure you use strings that start off with those stuns though if you want them to be inescapable.
the official guide tells you which characters strings end or link off of what kinds of stun in most cases.
okay, by the way, this tier list is about six months to a year old
