hmmmm…yeah i just asked him and that’s what he said it was…i mean even though there’s no way around it takes off too little health unless you’re one of the stronger characters. It’s as simple as hitting square, descend, square descend. and if it’s too much of a problem it could be banned among your friends.
Whats up Yipes! Yeah heads are all over Tenkaichi 2. You gotta get into part 2 yo! I picked this shit up in about a week and I never played Tenkaichi 2 so you’ll definetly get up on it quick!
Arent there already 2 threads for this game???
Anyway im confused what do you mean, people didnt know about teleport escapes before? Umm wtf isnt that first day shit? Im confused…
Im also still confused as to the combos people do when I watch videos, vegito can get 4 directions(not sure how to explain) before your allowed to teleport out that ive seen. Yet I never see it done still even though this game is old now… Not sure why… something im missing I guess… Unless people just dont know about it.
I also never see kara cancles for that one move that you can do. Id assume it woudl be a infinite since you cant teleport out of little moves, but punch counter kara cancle punch over and over again. Lets you start strings over and overrides other properties of the game. Shrug another thing that I guess isnt known or something I dont get…
Also why not do vegitos beam super when fully charged? Rushs are BS, plus in 2 even if you teleport vegitos rush you still get hit that ive seen.(ive read people saying you can teleport out of it, but ive yet to see it whenever I played the game, you teleport and then you get hit automaticly… maybe were playing diff games…)also as long as you dont go to half bar or something(i forget what it is)you get a free combo after beam super before the guy can teleport again. Shrug
Oh well I have no great opinon on the game… I still think 1 was funnier though, more glitchs made teh game more intresting doing bug combos freezeing the other guy etc shrug…
Damn, I know a friend that would love you (JeRon) for saying you want to start a league for this game. In all honesty I like this game almost as much, MY 18 might be a little rusty but I think I can still use her to her full force.
How’d you get stuffed from a step in? Especially when you use it when someone teleports? The only way you can completely own a step in is to use ki blasts… but if your opponent is a wall character then that isn’t happening
I’d ban it. I’m pretty sure every character can do it. And once you start bringing in characters with wall traits, everything gets pretty ugly.
Its pretty safe to assume almost nobody knew it was possible to teleport escape a charge attack if it came out quick enough to register in a combo. Otherwise we wouldn’t have viewed guys like Ultimate Gohan in such a high light. When I found out the combos could be teleport escaped so easily, I figured Ultimate Gohan could be next to useless in a match with really good teleporters. But then there were people bragging that he could own because he could easily deal over 20,000 damage with a combo… which you know won’t happen in a match with skilled teleporters.
People also had no idea you could teleport escape B2s when you get comboed right into them. Like if someone sent you flying with a full power square hit and kamehameha’d you, you can still press O before it hits you to teleport escape… even if you have to tap O to recover anyway.
Its really simple. People just don’t time the teleports right. Sometimes you’ll teleport the very first charge attack of a combo… other times you’ll keep missing the timing of your opponents charge attacks so he can rack up damage on you. You can do alot of things to try and screw up your opponent if you try to combo them… throw a charge attack early, delay the charge, cancel it, etc.
Sometimes rushes still chase after you even if you teleport, so you need to teleport yet again. Watch this vid, a guy has to time two teleports to dodge SSJ4 Gogeta’s rush:

DBZ is broke as fuck. Roster is horribly unbalanced, and the entire game devolves into a cheese fest.
EDIT:
Hmmmm… now that I think about it, a ridiculously unbalanced roster, and constant cheesing isn’t much different then a lot of other fighting games today. Ignore my first comment.
Care to explain how? You can just post these things if you want, but we’re having some good discussion here. If this game is broken and devolves into a cheese fest, explain how…
Don’t play BT:2. If there’s any Dragon Ball Z game you should play, make it Budokai 3. You can pick it up for under 20$. It has something like 46 characters or something, and it’s closer to an actual fighting game.
if you like B3, dig up that thread instead of trolling this one
Well I did say league and that was a little farfetched lol but I would definetly like to see a scene for it whether big or small it doesnt matter. Tenkaichi 2 is a great game!
You play 18 too? hehehe Shes my strongest so far. In a 4 on 4 my team would be 19, 18, 17, and Super 17. Now I’m tryna rock Bojack and Syn Shenron, but yeah 18 is really strong.
Explain!?
From what I’ve been hearing from ppl online and off is that certain characters are broken but once explained why theres always cause to get out of the situation or just simply avoid it. Utilize youur characters ability to its fullest. There are alot of moves (not a whole lot but good enough) and from what i hear if anything is per say broken then it can boil down to being character specific.
I say that DBZ is broke because the game is unbalanced like all hell. Certain characters are miles beyond other characters. Characters like SSJ4 Goku, Mystic Gohan, Super Boo, and others can sit and spam a few certain moves, with half of the cast not being able to do much about it. And I said never mind on my previous statement because I realized that this applies to a lot of fighting games. Like in MvC2 where Sent can spam j.fierce against roll all day, without her having any options to counter.
Yeah i see what your trying to say but thats like saying Sagat can spam lowfierce all day against Yuri or King or Benimaru or any low tier. Games will always have tiers but because there are so many characters in the game its less narrowed. Also Sentinel vs Roll in this game would be like Master Roshi vs Broly amongst many, its not fair so thats why you dont pick Master Roshi!
SSJ4 Goku can’t spam anything. What can he spam… his rush? Yeah, you can easily avoid his rush by teleporting, stepping in as it comes to you, or even hitting him before it starts.
What can Ultimate Gohan spam? He has nothing that’s spammable. Actually nothing in the game is spammable (thanks to teleport escapes), aside from the infinities from behind… which I think everyone has.
The only move thats somewhat spammable is Super Explosive Wave, and that only happens with Super 13, SSJ3 Goku and Gt. Saiyaman. They have a baseline ki of two and halo/majin seal cuts their B2 usage in half, so no matter what happens they will always get the ki to use it.
This game is actually kind of balanced. Its way more about character specific match ups than anything else though.
Edit: Before you actually attempt to rebut my points, please read through the first page… there’s alot of useful information there.
Damn, this makes me want to go pick it up and practice again.
But in all opinion, Super Buu isn’t that bad compared to Kid Buu and his Mystical Combination (semi)infinite. Lucky me I’m really good at getting DR’s off fast so that doesn’t bother me much.
@JeRon: You use 19? I can’t really use him, I’ve tried but there something that bothers me about him. And you play people 4v4? That’s new to me, we usually play 2v2 tag but that’s just mainly to make the matches go by faster when there are more people playing.
Oh and one thing on Super Explosive Wave… < Android Barrier
If anyone is ever around the way hit me up and I’ll be glad to play.
this is so true, me and a friend of mind who is very consistant in his gameplay have a rivalry between me (bardock) and him (broli) i hve the greater win record but yes its an extremely tough battle
the bad thing abot it is pople like bardock who dont have much screen time dont have much variety in moves either
hopefully bardock will b nicer in T3
thats not actually true, you have so many options in this game and it most deffinetly is character specific
i think i need to get this game again, i always knew i was gonna have to pick it up again when i traded it in
This is the honest truth, especially since most of the time your using custom characters. So that way there’s no point in bitching if you lose cause that’s on your end for not build up your character right. If I remember my 18 shuold still be around Lvl 141, but I don’t know how he did it but my friend got his Buu up to like 150 or 160 o.o It was really wierd since I still don’t know how to get that high.
You can get up to level 160 by using constant kiss of 18s or title tenkaichis. Level 160 is pointless though, because its only maxed stats when the only important ones are health, attack and defense.
Most of my characters only go up to around level 65, since I only have max attack, defense and health. Some characters I might max speed or B1 for. Otherwise its always worthwhile to use potaras like master’s essence, perfect stance, max power plus, etc.
Dropgate: Standardly its 2 v 2 but me and my friends often play 3 v 3 if its a grudge. Android Barrier is definetly powerful. I cant tell you how many times my friends would try and off me with Big Bang Attacks and Kamehameha’s amongst a few just to be Barriered then i taunt them (yes Im very cocky when i play the andriods especially 17 & 18 because they can do that) and beat the hell outta them lol
How can you watch this intro and NOT get Hype!!

dbz: tk2 ftw!
Did anyone watch the Tenkaichi 2 teleport skills video I posted?
Imagine doing a final explosion thinking you can deal massive damage, only to have it teleported completely and get killed after with just a ki blast/physical attack.
I don’t think I could ever play this game again if that happened to me.
