I got S and Z rank on the mission for SSJ. Even beat Krillin first so Goku went SSJ then beat SSJ Goku.
“Ascended Super Saiyan” is actually another name for Super Saiyan 2. I admit, naming it Super Vegeta is stupid since his USSJ form is known as Super Vegeta. They should have just named added something in parentheses to differentiate between the two sets of SSJ. Something like:
Super Saiyan (Melee)
Super Saiyan 2 (Melee)
Super Saiyan (Ki)
Super Saiyan 2 (Ki)
Doesn’t really make sense that a character can gain a form called Super Vegeta and Super Vegeta 2
I’m thinking about making the switch from the single lobby to the multi one.
I don’t really know much about the way it functions in comparison to the single version, anything I should keep in mind?
Ascended is “between” SSJ and SSJ2. It’s still SSJ, but a little stronger. Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks have access to it, and Trunks has that extra level of Ultra SSJ. They’re also referred to as 2nd and 3rd Grade, so any of these would’ve worked… Lol, when my female Saiyan powers up, she becomes Super Vegeta. What? C’mon game…
I’m unfamiliar with the transformations and the different stay bonuses… I was under the impression that they have you an over damage/speed boost, and gradually drained your KI/Stamina more depending on the level used. Where is it stated that they offer different bonuses?
@Kaiten92, I got something you might want to test…
Android 18’s second [Master] Z-Soul makes it so you can’t use any skills until your health lowers to a certain point. After than, you can use skills freely(no cost, I’m guessing). It has Health -2, Ki +4, and Basic ATK +3.
What I’m thinking is… This Z-Soul + Ginyu’s self-damaging Super + whatever else you can think of = Everything dies. I don’t have the patience or creativity to take this anywhere, which is why I’m passing it to you lol.
Started playing this last night with frieza race. I understand why his ki attack is so slow, but man it’s difficult for me to even think about using it.
I’ve just cleared the Cell saga in story mode and I’ve been wondering:
What’s up with Perfect Cell and SSJ Goku sometimes getting super-armor?
I can’t even spot any visual clues as to when they enter super-armor mode and when they revert back.
Because of this, I have to expose myself just to see if I can hit them again or not.
Farming Dragon Balls in PQ02, and I’m doing the whole press start + retry method. I’m getting the exact same Time Patroller show up and the exact same drops every time, been at it for 3 hours and still no Dragon Ball. I’m almost sure pressing retry just gives you the same drops every time…
Do it in PQ12. The Time Patroller shows up right at the beginning. Like, you can see them from the starting point.
You’ll know it’s a Dragon Ball if you get a “Got Material” message followed by “Got Key Item.” Reset if that doesn’t happen and keep trying. Keep in mind… The drop rate lowers with each Dragon Ball you get.
I thought Goku said in his SSJ demonstration to Buu that SSJ2 was Ascended SSJ. Whatever, doesn’t matter as people always use SSJ1,2,3,4 instead of alternative names.
Not sure what I’m testing for…but I’ll remember this when I unlock everything I need for it
He said “This is what is known as a Super Saiyan that has acsended past a Super Saiyan… Or, you could just called this a Super Saiyan 2.” Weird ass wording, but both are technically right lol.
Basically just the practicality and potential. Seems like there’s something there, but I’m not the guy to find it .
Finished everything from start to end in the storyline. So happy SSJ Bardock is in the game, I’ve been waiting for this for literally like 7 years…just have to wait for Bamco to get their shit together and then I can take him online and figure out his moveset to see if he has anything he can do that’s flashy combo-wise.
Currently level 72 and racing to hit the cap so I can make my second character and play with my lower level friends and I’m wondering what everybody’s stats are? I’ve respec’d once after finding out how buggy the strike supers are(Constant whiffing and the ones involving teleports just flat out not connecting after the teleport) and left that at 0.
I’m currently rocking this -
Health - 45
Ki - 44
Stamina - 44
Basic Attacks - 40
Strike Supers - 0 (Until patched/fixed)
Ki Supers - 40
Trying to get six full bars for both Ki/Stamina and then I’ll pump basic attacks probably. Once I’ve finished enjoying the main game and I’ve hit my 100% OCD addiction I’ll start worrying about combo mechanics and hit the the offline battle mode to figure some stuff out. Sucks there isn’t a training mode though seriously, if anybody figura anything out in the meantime or wants some more stuff testing I’ll make a list of things to do, already noted down the 18 Z-Soul and Ginyu super @“Phantom Angel” even though I’m also clueless on where to take it) but I’ll look for things regardless eventually. Hope everyone’s enjoying the game anyway, I’m fairly certain this is one of the top 3 in my DBZ games list, if not the best I’ve ever played.
I notice you’re teleporting and not using any stamina and going into a new hitstring so I’m assuming these are combo teleports instead of stamina based, are you pressing the guard button after teleporting or something? Good stuff anyways, that Saiyan uppercut loop has been my best friend through most of the game, it can also be jump cancelled into a heavy string for more damage. I’ll share a quick combo I’ve been using.
360 Pad -
X > X > Y > Y - Uppercut Loop (Jump Cancelled)
Y > Y > Y - Basic Heavy String
X (x5?) > Y > Y > Y(Super Cancel into anything) - Full Light Attack String
After the second string you can link the third. The heavy strings stun for so long you can usually just link a light attack after them for a longer combo. This only applies to male Saiyan combos btw, maybe I’ll record some stuff eventually when I finally decide to go and experiment.
Sorry for the double post, my phone doesn’t allow precise comment editing. Fuck my phone.
Jumped on my PC to quickly grind a level or two. Found a user on YouTube by the name of Redwolfxx who has a video that shows off some ways to convert damage from a launcher without spending stamina, seems doable for Majin Females. I’ll make a video on the races I have experience with eventually when I get some time, there’s a lot of stuff to discover I think, some special attacks in the game actually open up some combo extension opportunities, Solar Flare being one of them, and hopefully many more for different scenarios.
yep, the teleports in the 2nd video are all part of the combo string. all you need to do is guard before the followup and you’ll be free to do whatever you want
i played some ranked games today. everyone and their mom equips the piccolo/kami z-soul and goes to town on each other. i even got infinited to death a few times ;(
Wow, that’s downright insane. I’m expecting a patch about a month in if I’m honest. Both offense and defense seem a bit too much at the moment, especially some of the evasive skills.
One other thing that I think really needs patching in is the ability to see your opponents Ki/Stamina when in matches. THIS NEEDS TO BE A THING, NO EXCUSES.
Is the Kami/Piccolo Z-Soul the all stats up one? I’m using it myself, it’s by far the best one I’ve seen so far.
