Dragon Ball FighterZ: Legendary Saiyans Edition

When people say something like that, it’s up to the people that are saying it isn’t true to show why it’s not true. There was one thing learned this weekend that made vegetas neutral better, ONE THING. His air DP on reaction to homing dash. Outside of that he was the same old Vegeta, except now he could zone better than most zoners because he effectively had a “fireball/uppercut” game like streetfighter where you have to kind of guess the Ki blast and homing dash through it or hold the fireballs.

I’ve been coming to the conclusion that homing dashes are the streetfighter “jumps” of the game.

Not really. I just test random shit in training mode and that’s it. Just don’t like the game much compared to any Marvel or even Skullgirls. Its not really good at being its own thing or a 3v3 so far. Wasn’t a fan of all of the lobby issues at launch so was seeing if that was going to sort itself out also. It’s just enough like a vs game where I can call out things like which character is a good assist (only one right now) and know enough about the players playing it to be invested in that.

If I do start playing it I’ll let you know, but for now just wanna see more people eat their vegetables.

As for Point 16 stuff, Supernoon and Marvel big body player Sacktap both use 16/Cell/Vegeta. GO1 already plays in tournament vs Fenritti who also uses that team.

It’s funny cause fenritti got the first solid hit in both of those matches but completely botched the Oki both times lol

So do jH’s always scale more than M starters? Just noticed my yamcha combo does much more damage with an M starter

Yeah j.h has proration like a 2L starter. Same with vanish. I can’t remember all the starters that give proration, but in general, M starters are amongst the best.

Anyone have any good matches from Final Round that included Beerus? I read that there were 3 Beerus players that made it to top 32 but I can’t find footage of it anywhere.

Disagree on 21 for sure, she has some of the best normals in the game.

wait did my spoilers work?

Your stuff just gets super blurred, less blurred at hover, and not blurred at all at click now.

oh cool that’s pretty neat

Found some tricky corner cross-up tech with Yamcha when I was looking through the dbfz subreddit.

TLDW: Yamcha’s 2nd autocombo attack pulls your opponent towards you and if you have them in the corner it pulls them out just enough for you to be able to IAD crossup j.M or j.H

Nice, I’m was actually testing some stuff out with his auto combo. I can get an ambiguous double cross under against a specific tech option. Not very useful since it only works against 1 tech option but looking for other ways to apply it. I’ll post it a little later

Here’s the concept

Repost from dealing with Chiaotzu in neutral in case someone randomly throws it out or sets it up via snapback:

I’m thinking about putting together an SSj vegeta/Yamcha team together because I’m looking at vegeta as legit more and because reasons and he seems to do really well with Yamcha. Who’s a good/decent character to play with him? I was thinking kid buu because Yamcha has some really good synergy with kids assist… but the dhc compatibility doesn’t really seem there. So now m. Looking at Tien, is there anyone else that goes well with Yamcha?

I think beam assist is the best assist for yamcha, but I know you don’t really like black anymore lol. Kid buu should work really well too. Still thinking of trying out a yamcha/buu/goku team.

Any assist that has good block stun is also really good for yamcha so someone like gotenks or 16 help a lot with his pressure game.

I use to play tien yamcha on the same team but that’s before I really knew much about yamcha so I’m not sure how well tiens assist will help him out. If he can confirm full screen like he can from other beams then I would say they would work well together

Gonna try making a Teen Gohan/Goku(or Vegeta)/Tien team. Just learned some bomb loops and man they’re fun as hell to do. Ginyu point is beginning to show its holes with all the top tier point characters around :frowning:

Tien, T.Gohan, Vegeta works extremely well. Combo extensions for days for both point characters from any available assist.

Yeah a beam assist makes a lot of sense for Yamcha since Yamcha seems like a character that wants to be more grounded than usual, like hit. On,y thing I’m really worried about with vegeta/Yamcha/Tien is if I have the skill to pull it off and whether or not Tien is a good anchor for things like defending himself and having a decent offense that is hard to block.

But vegetas 2LL and tiens 2LL have me excited.

Imho Yamcha is better with assists that have short blockstun like 16 or Trunks rather than long one. It’s the only way to make the rekka side switch safe.
