Sonicfox ate his vegetables.
He’s definitely gonna have to change the team after this. Most of Sonicfox was coming back with 16 who’s OD as fuck. The problem is the start of his team is just not on the level of GO1’s. A.Gohan with Vegeta at round start is just plain better than Black with no real neutral assist. The start of the match decides a lot in vs style games. If he doesn’t wanna pick Vegeta that’s his thing, but just about everyone else will be at this point with nothing comparable. Definitely will be surprised if 2 or 3 months goes by and he’s using that same team in that same order.
Sonicfox did have some pretty crazy blocks like in the last match where he blocked for at least 10 real seconds vs Cell/Vegeta assist. It’s just eventually you get hit and he has no DP characters or defensive Vegeta call to get him out of stuff. Can only do so many raw level 3s.
Overall good set to watch with a lot of fun moments. Still not a fan of how predictable the neutral and offense is. The way the game is now it would play almost the same if Vegeta was the only neutral assist and a lot of the super dash and vanish fishing just makes the characters really samey. Sonicfox vs GO1 is basically a showcase of what the game boils down to.

At least SonicFox isn’t a retard that prides himself in losing with shitty characters. If something doesn’t work, he just changes his picks accordingly.
It’s his job after all. Who can blame him?
All SonicFox had to do was put 16 in front.
Without swapping a character, I don’t see how that would have been an improvement. His black was dead weight as anchor, and hit wasn’t much better.

Sonic fox does study his characters well so he may be afraid of low meter 16 dealing with faster buttons and neutral from other characters. He’s really stupid once he’s got meter and gets the hit, but probably not competing with top tier plus vegeta start of round. I think he would have already done 16 on point a while ago if that was the case. We’ll see
Here’s the thing: he did get to Grand Finals with his team. He came in 2nd at a giant ass major and in Winners. It may not be 1st, but clearly still functioning. I don’t think is a problem with SonicFox not having enough top tiers, instead SonicFox not being as good as GO1.

I think the issues with his team are pretty clear. Just sonicfox is a good enough player to make up for it. Chris G had to refine his team till he got to Morrigan Doom Vergil. He had other assists and characters than Vergil before and he saw how it was costing him

That’s the thing. I think sonicfox would have considered that already.
Some 0 or -1 situations on block/hit situations does have an affect against him though. It is one of his few cons, but as you said, it really doesn’t seem like a huge problem with all the other things going for him.
I disagree. SonicFox has a better offense than defense, while GO1 has show his own defense is just fantastic. SonicFox just can’t open him up and I don’t think it’s because his team doesn’t have the options, but that GO1 ain’t having that shit
Sonic liked black on point to get the initial hit because of how good he is at getting started first. Go1 was the first to put a stop to it. I think if he would put 16 first he would need to switch out hit

Sonic likes black first because of good neutral and ability to gain meter for the rest of his team. 16 without meter isn’t nearly as scary as when he does have meter. That’s why I said fox needs to come up with a different team. Sonic still isn’t having too much trouble outside of GO1, but the problem versus GO was the obvious discrepancy between all the other players ability to tech DR. Sonic has ONLY lost to 2 players so far in tournament and both of them were breaking DR like it was their job. Yeah, most players that sonic plays don’t yet have the skill to break DR that consistently, but the writing is on the wall. Even GO and Chris G can’t tech ALL those DR’s but they teched way to many and that limits foxes damage output per everytime he gets in. There’s a pretty simple match equation one can come up with to who these kinds of things, but basically it’s just lower percentages are lower percentages. He needs better/safer mixups, and at this point it’s A gohan that will give him that. I don’t think GO will have the ability to block with nearly as high a consistency if he’s also worrying about successfully fuzzy guarding A Gohans high low mixups and foxes iad crossup stuff as well.
Also SonicFox is definitely considering replacing Goku Black with A.Gohan. Which will actually give him a true point/point/point team with zero long range assists

I think 16 with 2 strong assists behind him would be extremely scary. Also 16 would have no problem building meter for himself
Yeah, 16 on point is no slouch and very good. But he seems to be building meter for “himself” not the team which I think is the bigger problem… but maybe not. The team I’m making right now is A gohan/16/Vegeta. For a cheesy high tier team. I’m coupling that with ginyu/beerus/Vegeta for the low tier team. I don’t really believe at this point that making a lowish mid team is worth it, like something like random mid on point then a couple of high tiers or a high tier on point with a low in the middle. It’s all out high or lower tier imo. Weakshit “high” tier teams like foxes current one aren’t going to cut it.
I’m just glad people will finally stop saying Vegeta is “ass” or has “shitty neutral”.
Witnessed him win so many 1v1s vs the characters with supposed good neutral.
