and i dont think you are one but sometimes people might miss some things which might have changed due to updates of their system ect.
had tekken sessions too with someone from this board and at one point nothing worked anymore and it turned out it was a issue on his end.

Kind of hard to talk about character archetypes in this game because everyone has projectiles and everyone has universal tools to shit on zoning.

The differences between characters really come down more to: what kind of oki do you run, and do you have a command grab?

He’s a pretty standard ArcSys-zoner. As in, he doesn’t actually kill you from afar for the most part, but giving him space allows him to go on the offense for free, so you have to approach him to prevent him from setting up. And, because he can set up his squad to limit your approach options and punish you if you pick the wrong one, approaching him can be pretty difficult.

This reset loses to up tech and delay wakeup… Doesn’t sound viable since better players will just be mixing up their wakeup options.

Better to just go for any air juggle into knockdown with 214L then go for assist pressure.

So question, a while ago someone linked that Ginyu Glitch with Milky Cannon where your Z Change(DHC) costs 0 meter. What’s the damage like for those combos?

I wish this game had a proper grab and hard punch button. I’d like to get good enough at the game to play it mindlessly and be pretty decent at it. But its not something I think I’d put long term interest in.

Does anyone know of any high-level Yamcha players I can watch? I’ve tried watching like 20 different streams and nobody seems to play Yamcha.

The defensive options in this game is very strong. Not really a fan of it. . .

I usually open the leaderboards, then look for the character I’m interested in and watch some replays.

I feel lucky that all my day 1 fighting game picks are always high/top tier.

MvC3- Vergil/Dante/Wesker
SF5 - Akuma
MvCI: Dante/Ultron
DBZ: Cell/Beerus/Black

Not really feeling Beerus in neutral though, he’s definitely the weak link in my team. Not saying he’s weak himself but his neutral feels lacking at higher levels due to weakish normals. His 2m is prone to getting stuffed since the hitbox doesn’t appear until after he reaches the opponen, plus opponents are always jumping so that’s a free punish for them. The only normal buttons I like with him are slow (5H and 2nd hit of his L autocombo). He’s nasty once he’s on top of the opponent though.

Other team has Yamcha as anchor.

If you run Tien on point, SS Vegeta assist gives him 5K meterless. You can see a variation of it here

If you want to use Tien on point, make sure to get your meterless damage in, since his Tri-Beams cost a ton of health.

You can always free dhc if you want too. Run yamcha 2nd so you can combo into his super which can lead to a knockdown unlike most level 1 supers

It could be a few things…
Escape after Vegeta assist pressure.
Deflect pressure on landing after air blocking.
Down tech -> deflect pressure reset.
Canceling out of the block stun of certain fireball moves.
Air guarding into fireballs lets you cancel block stun.

“Down tech deflect, fire ball guard cancels, and other defensive concepts.” Is a good summary or link description.

The Fireball Deflect expectation during Blockstun Video where you can start to deflect after you got hit by one fireball.
the video containted more than that with the landing frame cancel thing but i am not sure if i got how that work out.
the vegeta corner pressure part was the one i gasped but yeah…hard to give something a name when you understood just a part of it :disappointed:
