Mind you, one was free and led to a full combo while the other costed a bar. I wouldn’t mind a tracking buff to Vanish. It doesn’t look right when you try to snipe someone who’s falling in the air and you just whiff.
I at least wish there was more practical ways of stuffing SD attempts up close. Reflect just pushes them back and 2H can be unreliable in a tight spot, especially online. I just really don’t like “Is your opponent trying to footsie and out space you? Fuck it just super dash!!”.
Game has all these far reaching normals and they and all mostly lose to SD. Lol
Because it makes what are supposed to be unsafe, punishable normals safe. It’s not really telegraphed when you have to guess whether or not they’ll SD so you can decide whether to hit a button or punish the SD with a 2/5H. You guess wrong and either eat the SD or another blockstring.
Something that causes a situation like that shouldn’t be free.
Lets everybody calm down about super dashes and what have you. We dont need another MvC3 Sentinel where a week into the game they moved the Sentinel Production Plant to Mexico and started using recycled Nissan parts instead of metal.
Blockstring into SD is not safe when there is a completely exploitable gap. It isn’t a guess either, you can react to button > SD even in Sparking. It’s simply a case of practicing.
Hey, assists and special cancels can make punishable normals safe as well, should we make them cost a bar?
You can react to the SD if you’re waiting for it, yes. If you hit anything trying to punish the normal before they SD, you get hit. If you do nothing and wait for the SD and they don’t do it, they get away with hitting that button for free. That’s a guess.
If you block most specials you can easily punish them. An assist call uses a resource, so that’s a horrible comparison.
Ok. So back to the subject of online. Or more so the match making system. How is it suppose to work? I have my search settings on 4 bars or greater\anything goes\stronger than me.
And yet it gives me 3 bar matches with dudes who are namek rank. I’m super saiyan rank.
did up a vid on how the mechanics of the bunyu florist works

Finally caved and subscribed. Anyway some things you missed: Baata 236S tracks once you rise above it’s normal area, readjusting each pass. Also Jeese 236S track as it begins to move, so if they get behind it somehow it will just go backwards instead. Most people aren’t prepared for this, lol.
I’d kill for base Cell. I fucking loved Wakamoto’s weird voice acting for it and the Xenomorph design was badass.
I think you’re on PC right? Because online is apparently totally broken on Steam. You have to be in the same download region as someone else to just be able to enter their lobby (sic)…
That would mean absolutely nothing with how easy it is to meter build in this game.
Freaking agreed. As to what that would be, unsure. Truth be told I’d just remove it entirely since there are plenty of ways to switch as it is.
Eh. Not necessary, but not detrimental to have.
No, keep this. It makes Raw Tag extremely punishable, as it should be.
No. I honestly do not understand why so many people want this. It takes a ton of touches to have one character die, why is a burst necessary? At least in GG/BB/P4A there are either multiple bursts, or it’s refillable and is connected to other mechanics so it goes with the flow of neutral. Completely not needed here.
Eh.
Or, you know, just block normally and jump when it’s actually safe to do so.
Agreed, far too annoying to keep track of in your head during the heat of battle, an indicator would be quite helpful to glance at in a pinch.
Honestly…no. How many characters in Marvel 2/3 even had more than one good assist? It’s an extremely short list (not non-existent though…Doom…). It’s just ultimately a waste unless you go the Skullgirls route of Custom Assists and that would go away from the edict of accessibility they put in place for this game (I’d enjoy Custom Assists though).
Relatively unneeded but sure, whatever.
Sure, that works.
No, it’s put in place entirely for casuals. Just like how most auto-combos likely won’t be used after a while outside of ones with specific normals you want, it’s fine to have certain out of the way mechanics to please the casuals. It’s harmless. Get over it.
Yes…but to a point. Some characters should have them work on whiff because certain normals have good utility like Beerus’ 5LLL.
