so let’s talk actual mechanics, what would you change?

i’d like throw to be a bit quicker (not sure what the frames are), plus the tech window to be L+M/Throw specifically, rather than every button.

Once any ginyu force member on screen there’s no particular restrictions on ginyus movement.

qcb+s blast is straight up plus on block(don’t know the numbers, just block-jump testing).

Hate the movement in this game. It’s all quantized options with heavy commitments with the exception of forward dash. Even then, there’s nothing like faultless break to stop on a dime.

I want more control over my movement options so footsies can come into play and getting the hit can be satisfying. Right now, this shit is just call assist and go HAM. Get close enough to mash 2L and go HAM.

Pretty much why I’m not a fan of this game ATM. That, and only having one Assist per character, making it impossible for me to play a team full of characters I actually want to play.

Agreed here, FD break would make this game feel a ton better. I know you can just press Vanish to punish stuff, but that’s partly the problem.

I don’t know if anybody already mentioned it, but Sparking Blast also allows you to cancel the universal overhead into specials or command normals on hit or block. You’ll need a jump cancel if you want to use regular air normals.

Also from my testing the level of SB doesn’t affect the damage dealt or the speed of health regen, only its total duration:
lv1 = 7 seconds
lv2 = 14 seconds
lv3 = 21 seconds
Health regen speed seems to be 1k/s. Damage is +20%.

I haven’t tested yet if it has any effect on assist cooldown.
edit: there is a small reduction in cooldown (6 seconds to 5 seconds). The CD will start as soon as the character disappears instead of waiting one extra second.

Can’t have an universal answer because duration of X-Factor was character dependent. In general lv1/lv2 X-Factor lasted longer than lv1/lv2 Sparkling, but lv3 Sparkling lasts about the same.
I haven’t really tested if there’s any character dependence here too but from how the game is built I assume it is standardized for all characters.

It has to cost something, man. That shit is too abusable to be free, especially in Sparking. Vanish is way less impactful and that costs a bar. Before anyone starts with the ā€œjust 2H itā€ nonsense as if that actually works in all scenarios, you can 2H Vanish just as easily as Super Dash if not easier unless it’s a punish, (that you don’t even get a combo off of without assists) and it costs meter to do.

Yea, the Smash property is why I don’t like 2H as the only AA option.

btw, does s.dash have the diminished meter gain that Vanish combos have? that’d also be another decent way to tone it down.

They could also tone it’s tracking down. That shit will chase you in a full circle of it has to.
