Ed, we talked about that to Fubar before we even got the cab and 3s board, it’s not the problem. The cab was on all the time before we got it and on at Siren all the time too. Also if that was the problem the screen would be all scrambled when we turn the cab on.

I’m reading multiple cases of CPS3 suicide which involve no scrambled screen. The cabinet being on doesn’t determine the backup battery life, you still need to maintain and replace it.

This may be relevant as (1) the cab is old and dusty and (2) ppl may have come in contact with the cart while doing repairs, since it does protrude out of the top of the jamma board. If I remember correctly, last week when me and Brian tried to fix the cab, we noted that the cart was a bit loose.
Lastly, Brian and Shaun if you want to remove the recording equipment from the extension harness, please be my guests. It’s easy; the wires from the recording pcb wrap around the screws of this, the barrier strip. Simply unwrap the pcb’s wires from the screws and refasten the screws.
- Turn off the cab & unhook the Jamma extension harness from both ends.
- Loosen the screws that the recording pcb’s wires go to.
- Unwrap the pcb’s wires, leaving the colored jamma wires alone.
- Fasten the screws.
- Plug the harness back into place.
If it turns out to be a loose cart :bgrin: I haven’t been to hardege in a while… lol
I personally haven’t been able to go up and take a look at the cabinet myself. I’ve been absolutely fucked with school. If it turns out to be something other than the cart, I’ll try and get up there to take a look at it, I can’t make any promises about time though…

Since there’s been no 3s, I went curling instead. I’m just as bad at hit confirming in curling as I am in 3s :wasted: But at least mashing sweep seems to work better

The 3Struggle Saga continues. Ed or Sam are either of you guys availible for this weekend? I wanted to try out either the JoJo cart/cd and/or Super Turbo cps2 board. Do you have a kick harness at all Sam? Also we might want to have scott on speed dial for installing that shizzzzz.

Yo guys, sorry to hear about the 3S problem. I do have a working 2I cart if you want to try that, but I agree, you should at least establish that the wiring setup is fine with another board like ST. I’ll make a trip out there if I get my car back next week (spring break 
), and I’ll bring a cps1/2 wiring harness combo.
Also, some guy on ebay is able to revive dead 3S carts back to life for $150. The problem is, it’s Asia version!

Haha, had some shit to do this last weekend unfortunately. I lamented not being able to go as I haven’t been able to play games with you guys lately. I think I’m about done with street fighter 4 though, shits boring as hell anymore. I can’t even bring myself to play at my house. It takes like 2 hours to find a match. I imagine this will change when super comes out though as bison will be good in that game I think. Here’s hoping the 3s cab comes back!

I’ll be up today, probably around 4pm. If Sam’s there at about the same time, it’d be cool so that I’ve got someone to bounce what I’m doing off of, much easier for me to work on this type of crap with someone else around lol.
I’ll see if I can’t get to my house before that, the problem is I’m actually north of Doylestown right now, so getting down to Abington and then back up to Doylestown would be a bit of a stretch, both time-wise and gas-wise.
As far as phoenixing the cart (I don’t even know if thats the right term for what happens to a CPS3 cart lol) back to an Asian Region, If that’s the worst case, I know where I can get the right CD for that cheap (10 cents cheap if we all follow :V)
Oh yeah, Brian- How would you feel about a bi-weekly (or some other schedule) SSFIV ranbat setup? I asked around with a couple of people down around here who all said they’d be up for it.
