Hey guys, it was something I was kicking around a bit but if we got enough people consistantly for Street Fighter 4 or whatever I was thinking of having Ranking Battles just for fun. Anyone think we should do this? Also, I don’t know how to run Ranbats so someone tell me or help me run them 
. Lemme know what you guys think.
I’ve also been running gatherings in Doylestown for 3s and SF4 on Tuesdays, if anyone is interested in joining just send me a PM or posting here works too.
Are your SF4 TUesday gatherings different from Fight Night? is it a private thing or still at Cyborg 1? Either way Im down for the Tuesday SF4 situation. Just PM me the time and place and ill bring my Chun!

btw if I sound overly eager… i am. Its been 25 years since i played SF in any form of public setting, and the last tournament you held was my first foray back into the scene. Im getting VERY sick of playing online and dying to play real people of skill (none of my friends are interested simply because i have experience playing the game and own them too much). Plus it will be great times Im sure

Well since I suggested the Ranbat idea to you, you know I support it. :wgrin:
I think we should do something like:
1st place - 10 points
2nd place - 7 points
3rd place - 5 points
The winner of the Ranbat is the person who has accumulated the most points at the end of the season. (Winner should get Brian’s 360 and the Vendetta cabinet imo. :lovin:) There’ll be about 14-15 fight nights this summer so I think running ranbats regularly every 2 or 3 weeks would be cool. Whichever ppl want.
As for entry fees for the ranbats, I think it’d be nice if they were low or nonexistent because it fosters a friendly, casual atmosphere. We don’t need to bring too much hype or drama into Jame’s store. Just my 2 cents.

When your season is done we should do an online 5 vs 5 in 3s, HDR and SFIV Columbus Vs Doylestown.
Our best vs your best. We could web cam it up or something, an idea anyway.

Also I leave the Ranbat runnin to Pyro D, cuz I’m clueless with how to run it. But I’m looking forward to it! :encore: It’s probably gonna be free or a buck because this is on Monday after all and it’s more of a casual atmosphere.

But, i’ll be happy to provide input any time u need for the sf4 ranbat. Just keep a tally of the scores on SRK. Also, the tourney format is up to you or perhaps popular opinion. Since it’s a casual atmosphere and u probably wanna get some play in, i’d suggest one of the following formats:

Hey Chaos, 55 doesnt really take you to Cyborg One but if you ride it up to 76/676 and then get on 611 you can ride that all the way up to doylestown and plunks you not to far off from the store. Hope that helps!
Side note: Although they are more for fun than anything i was thinking of running the SF4 (and whatever else, 3S persmaps?) Ranbats every 2 weeks so the first one would start on the second Fight Night. JUNE 1ST. Last one will be AUGUST 24TH Entry fee will be a buck. Single Elimination. Top 3 get points. Starts at 7pm.

Had a blast and it was awesome getting to play real competition in real life (not dealing with lame online stuff). Cyborg1 is an awesome shop and it was really great of James to host the fight night. I got to break in my Sakura a bit as Ive started messing with her some recently!
