when will the videos be up
Ed, if ur doing batches of vids, you might wanna start w the 3 finals: (winners, losers, & grand), and then work ur way down. I think outside interest is mostly concerned w the top players. Just my opinion though.

Videoes are going to start being edited tomorrow. I set some prelim time flags for matches I knew.
I was planning on uploading batches by progress of the tournament, If only because that makes editing 3 hours worth of footage much, much easier if I’m working chronologically.

I read that youtubes size constraint per vid is 2 gigs. The winners final seems to be only 70-80 MB. Would it be possible to get higher quality uploads, or is this the best we can do with our current setup?
The videoes I uploaded were all between 100 and 130 mb a piece, but only a part of it lies in that. We’ve got some pretty bad compression rates on the uploads (notice the horrid isolation blocks), but the deeper problem lies in the video capture levels, which I really can’t do more than I did post processing. That’s why you’ve got checkered green/red and it doesn’t look terribly sharp (because the darker colors didn’t come out lol). Something we can fix in the future for captures, but most certainly not more than the miracle work I did in post processing.
Maybe I’ll completely uncompress the video and try uploading it like that after I get home from work tonight. that may fix the video issues.

Alright, I’ve hit a little snag personally, but class is done for Thanksgiving break, I’m going to be heading up video editing damn near full-time after tonight. Videos take about 20 minutes to export, so we’re working at about half speed for that.
I also just realized that Grand Finals was 16 minutes, and that’s why Youtube didn’t accept it. That’ll be fixed tonight, and I’ll move on to Everything else. I think I know who’s playing when, but It’s up to you guys to correct me if I’ve got the wrong player names lol

Alright, I’m currently exporting the matches, I hope to be done by 6am, and bulk upload to youtube at that point.
The way I’m working this is if I can’t tell who a certain player is, I’m uploading it as “Yun [Mr. Quotes] vs. Chun-li [x]” (for example), and when someone identifies the video (link to the video please, so I can edit quickly) I’ll change the name and the tags.

17 videoes are uploading, tagged as well as I could. Once everyone tells me names I’ll have that all sorted out. I’ve still got 20 minutes of footage to dick around with, and I’ll get those uploaded right after this batch is done. After that I just have to split the Grand Finals into a youtube acceptable size and go the hell to sleep because I’ve been doing this since 12:30am. I worked hard for that buffet dinner lol.
