Anybody notice that in a Double VS Double match she calls the losing one a monster? I lol’d
Any tips on doing the barrel loop?
I can do j.LP-j.MK-J.HK-Barrel easy, but j.LK-j.MK-J.HK-Barrel won’t work.
I’m using Valentine as my training dummy.
I had trouble with comboing Valentine at first, too. If the second hit on the barrel is whiffing, you need to keep her lower to the ground. For Shari’s version of the barrel loop, more hits on the j.mp (I use 4 hits) will drag Valentine down a bit so that both barrel hits can connect.
Painwheel Scares me can someone help me out on what I need to do to kill it with fire?
Shoot her with your gun.
Try using j.LK-j.MK-J.HK-Barrel first in the loop. As in right after your first ground chain on your grounded opponent. You have to still to get j.LK as fast as possible but it’s a lot easier compared to doing it on an already slightly airborne target.
I can’t believe I didn’t think to try it before because its so easy compared to doing the j.LK as the second loop starter. Works very consistently on everyone except I have trouble doing it on Painwheel in the left corner. That’s most likely me though but I don’t see what I’m doing wrong cause I’ve got it down on the right corner. Eh…
j.hk, guns, supers to punish obvious moves that she does (charge j.hp for example). Pushblock first hit of her j.mk or last hit of j.hk and she can’t do any proper mixups on you.
Yeah I got it down now, seems I just needed to work on my timing.

Something I stumbled on during some casual matches, with cat-heads out repeated HPs from range can trigger the IPS but avoid the burst, I think I followed it up by double jumping over and using j.HP.
Okay so guys I’m pretty torn here. I want to know if I should seriously use this barrel loop?
I play Solo but most of my damage comes from resets. I’ve seen the meter build from the loop but I feel like it may be a detriment because against a team feel I’m giving them more meter than I should?
I’m always using orbs and rarely us any super besides it(unless I’m doing cat head car: a two meter bill). Level three if I have the meter sure. But I’m just concerned that I may not be working these matchups as well as I could.

I still don’t have it down myself (I keep having them drop out on the last avery), but it’s not like you can’t reset at basically any point in the loop anyway.
So is the consensus that double is the best anchor on 2/3 person teams yet? Because it should be. I’d almost always put my money on a double with 5 bars to finish out a game
Has anyone tested out MK vs HK butt as an assist? I play Peacock (<–obviously) so I like that HK Hornet takes them full screen but is the MK version a better AA? Is it harder to crouch under? Without training options it’s hard for me to tell.
I go with HK for parasoul (full screen knockback) and MK for Cerebella (can follow along behind it). I don’t really think of either one as an anti air but more like a tatsu or beam assist.
Yesterday, I saw a Doublecock player using the light version of Hornet Bomber against Dios X’s Filia. So, is there any particular advantage in choosing that specific version of Double’s infamous assist ? Its range is pitifully short, so what is the upside of it ?
I could be mistaken but I’m pretty sure LK butt has a little more vertical range as a trade off for the lack of horizontal range (more like a standard dp). That’s exactly why I made my previous post. I was hoping MK would be a good middle ground but I honestly can’t tell if it’s a better AA or even if it’s harder to get around horizontally without a decent training mode to test it. Online play with randoms is too inconsistent for me to notice any subtle difference.
i choose my butt strength based on who i’m fighting. hk for full screen vs peacock and parasoul and to counter another double assist, mk is good against most rush down chars, and i use lk exclusively for miss fortune
