The other versions of the assist go over your head if you duck them at close range.
In other news, I just realised something and I’m feeling dumb that it took me so long to notice. If you’re approaching with air-to-ground jHP and it keeps getting blocked, cancelling the first hit into jHK causes you to immediately land so you can go into a cLK or a throw or quickly block their incoming AA assist or whatever. You can make your cLK hit before the third hit of your jHP would have done, so it’s a nice little mixup
o my god just learned the dirtiest 50/50 setup from Granberia on xbl.
so youre doing the barrel loop, and on your second or third rep in the air, you stop after the two hits of mk and then either throw or press HP. Its impossible to see and is 100% a true 50/50. also you can do this after you restand by either throwing after the hk drops on them or pressing lk. god damn
I like calling out Cathead on an incoming character, pressing mp, dashing forward and pressing LP. Cat heads manage to cross up and its annoying to block.

So against headless fortune, we know how dumb it is that the car super only hits the head and can easily lose you a match. but i figured out a way to make it broken on both sides.
If you have two meters, force her into a catheads chip setup and then immediately do car suoer while continuing to lock her down by mashing catheads. You get free 50% damage on fortunes head while continuing to get chip on her body. You also still have time to find a mixup into full combo if you do the car fast enough.
At time 2:05 in the video, Double does a hard tag off a wall bounce from Filia’s Gregor Samson. In a lot of situations you might be better off doing a DHC, but it’s still good to know this is possible.
I find a lot of players playing against double forget her slide, i usually throw it in with a launcher combo if they block but dont push block. after the launcher it comes out pretty quick and i find most people have already stood up cause they think: “Oh missed the launcher time for punish!”.
Leads to a knockdown you can follow up with crMK, crHK xx Heavy hornet bomber into Cars or just mix them up
I’m not sure this will work once the game gets patched since the hornet bomber will require using up your OTG. It depends on what the final changes are.
well after the slide you have the OTG with the crMK popping thenm up but then the crHK causes a ground bounce then hornet bomber idk like you said we ll have to see when the patch comes out.
Catheads on block, do car super, stop mashing, wait, mash. Crosses up even in the corner and its very difficult to tell when you’re supposed to switch sides in blocking
I just tried that setup in training mode for a while, and it seems like Double switches sides just before the car super’s blockstun ends. If this is the case, you can block the crossup cat heads every single time just by switching your block direction from backwards to forwards at any point during the car super.
Oh, that. I thought it was some cheap stuff, like low short kara or something. Don’t hesitate to throw that stuff up though. It gives the character forums some life, at least.
Lol it IS some cheap stuff. Doubles throw range is already dsgusting and this makes it further than ken sf4 kara throw range. Unfortunately its hard tofind a spot where it will work and a regular throw wont… I wish double had a safe on block special that. We could karadashcancel into
