i wish she had a venom’s “lunge” move so i could get around a lot easier. i keep thinking that in my head every match. i can control a match with double but it takes work…and i’m lazy. lol.
i use a multi hitting assist.
the timing seems extra sensitive so i’d rather make sure that the assist hit confirms for me, then i’ll shoot x bionic car. other than that i’m throwing orbs out. the car is too unsafe and predictable. or i just do this:

I recommend adding another character. Off the top of my head, painwheel’s c. mp, Filia’s hairball, or Parasol’s flash kick can help Double’s game up close. The team I actually run at the moment is painwheel at point, peacock, and double.
Double’s tag in leaves you extremely vulnerable if it’s blocked. This is problematic against better players … Any thoughts on when a good time is to send her in for the tag in attack?
combo into it, use it when you kill a character, or just dhc into her
I’m not sure you can combo into her tag outside of DHC. I think DHC is the best option.
Hey guys, for those of you that missed it last night I streamed myself playing Double. I was going over everything that the character brings to the table being on point. Reason behind the stream was because a lot of people have been choosing the character only for the assist, but have no idea on how to play the character. I think the key aspects of the video are the first 10:30 and 1:10:50 for like 5 mins.

Has anyone worked out a good pattern for Megalith Array? I find mashing 3K+HP works quite well close-range but I’m sure it can be improved.
I mash lp, mk, and hk. It consistently seems to combo them the whole way through.
I tried it out, it seems to work well at mid-screen. Close range, though, I couldn’t get it to hold consistently throughout the blockbuster. I think HP might work better when close.
edit: tested it: hp, mk and hk work really well at close range.
2nd edit: at a longer distance than mid-range, mashing 3K+LP seems to work the best. The combo drops near the end, though, but it can be prevented by inserting a short pause (~20 frames) somewhere towards the end of the blockbuster.
Comboing the Megalith Array is not the problem, it’s stretching out its duration after the super has ended. Try and have some of those punch bubbles linger out when the super ends with enough of the LP Georges walking along. You should be able to close distance and extend the combo from there. Making an actual lengthy combo from it will take some time since the game is still fairly new.

You CAN combo in to Double’s tag… If you have painwheel and end your combo with qcf+lp, you got enough time to just raw tag in to double and continue your combo. It’s quite genius actually now that we have barrel loop for that “heavy” damage.
I’ve tried raw tagging from qcf+lp, you cannot do it. The recovery off it is just too great. The only thing you can raw tag from at this time is s.MP with Cerebella.

Valentine can combo into raw Double tag. Gotta love dat green syringe… >:)

What about OMNOMNOMNOM? That shit lasts forever, pretty sure almost every character can raw tag in after it… gotta love dat Fortune head xD
I’ll try some of these ideas once I get off of work.
Maybe it’s so obvious to even say it, but if you double tap a direction on the stick / d-pad and then jump before her weird dash animation kicks in, you can get a much longer / faster jump that will go half the distance of the screen. This bypasses her awkward movement mechanics. Using this with MP or HP in air is one your best approaches. I only mention this because I’ve never seen anyone else do it online or in any video. It’s strange seeing so many people play Double for the assist and using it so well and then just fail hard when Double is tagged in.
It can be linked mid-screen from a st.HP while they’re under the effects of the green syringe.
Here’s the combo I use with Valentine (green syringe already loaded): st.LP, st.MP, st.HP, QCF+LP, st.MK, st.HP, tag into Double, QCB+KK after 2nd hit of tag.
Again, only from mid-screen. Haven’t tried against all characters, but confirmed working vs Cerebella.
