Surprised there isn’t more discussion on this gem! Despite the download-only status, this title has the polish of a disc release. Great graphics, great presentation, great music, cool characters, great gameplay, cool special moves, spiffy upgrade and power-up system, etc. Its the total package!
Its not only pays homage and represents the original DD experience, but also adds its own new content and style. Sunk over 25 hours gameplay time into this one. Feels like a steal at just $10!

And yeah for some reason I thought this had online co-op. Really wish it did.
Having finally finished this over the weekend, the game is like a huge love-letter to Double Dragon II.
Which is cool. First console DD with actual simultaneous co-op. I’m sure a lot of people have fond memories of that one.

This game is fucking awesome. When I heard that stage 2 music, I was knew this game was going to have lots of personality.

Yeah I gave $10 for the download of the Double Dragon Neon soundtrack on Jake Kaufman’s bandcamp site. Firebird (Track 9) and track 20 with that Double Dragon 1 remix is really good too. Plus the intro/stage 1 stuff.
Heard they were going to patch it in at a later date. The single player experience is still Gold!
Having a hell of a time beating it on hardest difficulty though.
