DotA 2

That is a lot of Undying changes. I know he is a mana-hungry hero, so I usually build him with mana regen stuff anyway. The Flesh Golem and zombie nerfs hurt though.

I didn’t even get a chance to spam that hero in the offlane before he got nerfed. That said, version b came out rather quickly I’d have to say.

Surprising they didn’t nerf bat Brood. She feels absolutely out of control right now.

I dunno Brood always feels like one of those heroes that can make or break a game, pub and pro games a like. If you don’t have a counter to her she can completely take over a game. At the same time if she falls behind, she struggles so much and doesn’t scale well into late game.

That said, I did random her first thing in a game and was immediately counter-picked by LC and Dazzle. :V They kind of focused me too hard though which allowed my team to win mid and safe lane pretty easily and then gank top for me, allowing me back into the game. Then I did annoying Brood things all game while my team fought 4v5. Haha

Well, that’s the thing. Brood will dominate any lane unless you either counterpick her. If they don’t counterpick her (granted, there are more than a few counterpick options out there), they will be forced to either concede a great deal of farm or dedicate multiple people to stopping her.

Undying are still currently the top in 6.84b meta. You barely notice the changes (i go 1-1-4). You wont be able to spam soul rip anymore but rather use it sparingly when needed. He still dominate most lanes with decay alone

Early 6.84 competitive tier list. I think it’s way early to make a list considering 6.84 is only a few weeks old, but still interesting to see how teams think in terms of what heroes they think are strong.

The Summit in on right now. Pretty much your teir list is as accurate as it can be based on the teams drafting

Well the list is based on competitive picks/bans, so of course it’s going to reflect what people are currently picking/banning. :stuck_out_tongue:

Competitive list may 2015 update

Haven’t played for a year.

Why is QoP and Undying so high?

QoP and Undying got some buffs on top of the current meta favoring hero kills and snowballing over playing passively and farming. Undying has been given a lot of small buffs overtime that eventually caught up with him on top of the meta shift. QoP got a gigantic buff two major patches ago that made her Ult (Sonic Wave) pure damage that pierces magic immunity (does the same damage as the previous version after magic resistance) and the meta favors her greatly at the moment. On top of that, QoP is very good vs many common mid laners at the moment and will win her lane pretty easily.

The days of “four protect one” farming are done. Today, the Dota meta is “everyone get some levels and then five-man”. QOP is the greatest early AOE burst threat. Undying is the greatest counter-pusher and an amazing lane threat.

QoP is also very versatile too. You can put in in safe, mid, or offlane and she can dominate it with ease and with blink its rare she would die. She can play core, or support that can transition into a Carry if the game goes late. Her ult now goes through magic immune so it scales well into late game when everyone got BKB. Aghs on her means she can clear creep waves rather quickly making it hard for opponents to push high ground.

Undying + tombstone makes it too difficult for opponent to 5 man dota.

Competitive tier list for June 2015:

Not surprised to see Leshrac and QoP at top. The two of them are the strongest midlaners in the game and can also go safelane if needed. If QoP is banned, Lesh is usually picked in her place (which likely explains his high pick rate on top of being a really good hero). Not sure why Clockwerk is picked so much despite having a low win rate; overpicked perhaps? Tusk is the new top tier offlaner with all the utility he offers; all those buffs over several patches and a shift in the meta have now projected him into god tier status. Those Visage nerfs hit the hero pretty hard, as he dropped from top tier to mid tier. Despite the shift in the meta, AM has become a decent pick despite being a classic, traditional carry, likely due to his farm rate and becoming relevant in the mid game if he gets enough farm early. Techies has gone up a tier, but mostly due to Team Secret’s Techies pocket strats. RIP Batrider, the fallen god.

lol Tiers in Dota are fucking crazy.
Shit changes so much all the time.

Like… Why is Tusk so good now?? My walrus nigga was never this hype.

Brb, gonna go SRK so mofos.

Tusk has been getting a lot of good buffs now for the past several patches. Ice Shards are cheap in cost, do respectable damage, and offer utility in terrain control similar to Earthshaker’s Fissure. Snowball is now fixed 650 MS, has huge cast range, and can be used as a way of initiating or saving allies. Frozen Sigil scales great and is pretty much an AOE movement and attack speed slow. Walrus Punch is a great ult that scales with attack damage (should you choose damage items over utility items), and the stun goes through BKB. All of his abilities are low mana cost and scale well into all points of the game. As an offlaner, his abilities have enough utility that he doesn’t need level 6 to be relevant like most offlaners, so even if he has a bad start in the offlane, he can at least try to put pressure on the map and gank other lanes since Ice Shards and Snowball offer so much utility. Given that the meta has shifted to 5 on 5 skirmishes quite often, Tusk is great at those and offers a lot to the team.

If anyone else was lucky enough to aquire a ti5 ticket and would like to share a room, hit me up. still haven’t made hotel/motel reservations. Airbnb is my last resort.

RIP Dusa and Bat

I’d argue you can’t say “RIP Dusa” because she was never really alive in the meta.
