Just watched the game between Secret and DUZA and it was insane.
Server was garage so lots of DC resulting in long pauses. At one point Secret lost RTZ and Puppey. Secret decide to just game on playing 3v5. Zai and Kky micro the 2 missing hero, with Zai microing all 3 at times. And Secret won LOL. So awesome, love this team

Been playing a lot of phantom lancer lately as a counter to the current meta of Troll, Jug, and Sniper. Been doing fairly well. Only real problem is Jug, and whether the opponent gets the right items to combat PL. If they stick to the MoM+Manta build they get raped. Jug cant bully you with Omnislash as Doppelganger ends it immediately.
My build tends to be Vlad>Diffusal>Manta>Skadi
Wow, Game one of Secret vs Asus Polar was so good.
Secret takes game one. Just incredible team composure and decision making. Many teams would have just GGed after that disastrous tier 2 tower hold at the top. I follow Secret, and this is one thing that puts them above other teams, the ability to remain calm and stick to their game plan, and let their skills and dota IQ do the rest. If they dont make top 3 for TI5 i would be truly disappointed.
Seems like whoever gets Troll wins in this finals series.
Not surprising that they banned out troll in the last game of the set, but they give secret QoP? QoP, BB, and SF on Secret side is playing into their comfort zone, and with no Sniper or Troll that was imo too much for Asus to overcome. But great set overall, not too sure what the Techie pick in game 2.

C9 was watching yesterday, they ban out sniper and troll immediately, but leave EE with Juggernaut. Iono, Asus looks outdrafted here in game one. Blackhole and RP are great tool that can work will with Supernova, and Mirana ult to initiate.
Got my cheese on Polar. New C9 is a trashcan team.
With C9 it’s weird. At times they show glimps of what makes them a teir 1 team, then they go back to EE’s school of throwing.
Yup that was GG. You cant give the other team so much tools. Skywraith was good pick, but cant stop 3 AOE ults. Slark need to go for fast BKB, but instead he went for SB and then what looks like a Skadi. Anyways that draft was awful for Asus.
You lost your cheese. C9 3-0’s it, just wow. That is an incredible run from them. Aside from that first week in the qualifiers, they perfected every other team in the losers bracket, and doing it to a Asus team that nearly grind out of the winners bracket yesterday vs Secret.

I haven’t been keeping up with DotA 2 as of late so I can’t really comment on picks/bans other than “lol Sniper”.
Really no surprise with the chart. Id would think Juggernaut and zeus would be higher.
As of late, the new meta seems to be revolving around getting to pick Troll, and buff him with Magnus’ empower. Basically a free battlefury on your troll. And all you need a one good RP and its GG for opposing team. Honestly I have not seen a team lose with this. The amount of farm advantage troll gets with empower, hes usually 10 to 15k head of the next highest net worth.
Other strats teams are running is Tiny/Wisp (nothing new), and Zeus/nightstalker. Vision from zeus ult, and reduced vision radius by night of opposing team, give great synergy.

Not the first time patches have been dropped mid tournament match. Also that’s Valve’s decision when to drop the patch, not Icefrog’s. lol
@drwill439, patches usually drop on Thursday after getting a few days on PTR to work out bugs.
