After 6.83 Jugg is freaking ridiculous, lots of people in ranked are using him, that plus 6 agility buff and that buff to his critical strike were fucking huge, so huge that a month later (last month) they nerfed his base armor by 1. His attack animation, his +6 attack speed, +6 damage, 6 stats + 1 branch make an armor, and finally blade storm make him a force to be reckoned with early game now, even with that 1 armor nerf. Now with his improved early game, he has much more of a chance to snow ball and grab a hold of an early ags and just omni slash his way to freedom.
No kidding, Jugs is now the most played hero today, beating Pudge. When has that happened? Hes too op right now given his potential early game. Dont know what Icefrog was thinking, 1 less armor and reduce omni radius did nothing. Phase boot + MoM he cant chase down anyone. With jjust a MoM and Yasha, he can solo rosh. Towers dont stand a chance. Hes like the super lycan, cheaper and more effective.
Sniper is the other hero that needs some changing. To be able to spam 3 Shrapnels give him so much control and kill potential.
Played a few games of Treant yesterday and tried out the rush for Aghs build.
Beginning - Quelling blade, branches
Rush for Soul ring, then immediately to Aghs.
Eye all the creep camps asap. Easy $1k gold every minute. Spend majority of the time just Eyeing the entire map, i think i went into 1 or 2 team engagements. Team won tho, with the vision and money saved for your 5 from having to buy wards and actually farm up items. Funny see the opposing team buy wards and tango to chop your trees down. Squishy supports,i ult them and they die. This is just for lols
The vision is nice, but it’s still not worth running core Treant to farm up 4700+ gold (accounting for minimum Aghs/brown boots) when you could have a better, higher impact hero on that role that could do much more with the farm. Farming all the jungle camps once a minute is cute but you’re also not leaving shit for your team to farm either. Treant really doesn’t need that much farm to be effective so the committed farm on him is kind of a waste.
I don’t really recall Treant being picked up that much in 6.82 though.
Totally agree, Its a silly build that “shouldnt” work in competitive play, although it worked yesterday in Captains mode.
6.82 was a weird Patch. The meta got to the point where it was built around rushing to Refreshers. The that had it first would win most of the time. So you see alot of Tide, Void, Razor, Enigma, Treant, magnus. Tide was just too OP. Thus the nerf in Refresher, and to his ult damage.
Treant and Witch doctor would be BBF, and now E.G. is running Treant and Phoenix. Treant a great pick if the opposing team is running alot of BKBs, his ult stops them in their tracks
I would also follow Aui_2000, Merlini, and PPD on twitch.
Of the 3, IMO Merlini gives the best live in-game play high level commentary. He goes through what his though process are in certain situations, and does a review of everything that went well and what didnt at the end of each of his matches. Very insightful. I watched a game of his yesterday where he played with Aui and he was Storm spirit. Its not his best hero and the team was down 10-20 about 20 mins in. He talked about his positioning his storm in specific areas to fend off ganks and ward detections, when not to gank/jump on heros, and with good decisions making they came back to win it. I believe it was Storm/Clockwerk/CM/Puck/Skywrath vs Sniper/Jug/Centuar/Earth Shaker/Natures Prophet. Jug made a bad call to push teir two top tower when all support fell back. Got caught, lost Aegis and a life. It was the turning point in the game.
Aui_2000 occasionally does the same at a lesser extent. However, his youtube reviews of matches are really good.
PPD occasionally does a review about his drafting thought process. What went well during the game, what didnt, and how they could change their draft.
Out of all the streamers I usually watch, I feel that Blitz is probably the most insightful one. He usually breaks down his thought process on everything he does in game. The only downside is that he pretty much ONLY plays mid and mid heroes, so those looking to see the game through a different position may be disappointed.
If you are into the mindset of Drafting, there isnt anyone better the PPD. His team rarely gets out drafted in tournaments. Cant vouch for his character tho.

Played my 3rd Year beast event, and finally won my first one. I was Jariko and my items where Mek, Euls, and DIFFUSAL BLADE! lol Im finally getting the hang of this stupid event. Top picks are Zeus, Warlock, Sniper, Omni, Earthshaker, Sniper, Bristleback.
I had one game where the event just came live, and my team decided to FF so that they could get to the event faster. WTF
New update added an interesting feature to the CM Arcana. If you deward 50 enemy wards, you get an alternate wolf pup. It also gets some new behaviors, but I’m not sure if that’s in general or unlocked.
