im pretty sure this whole week massive invites going out. some people were saying the que time were long as hell up to 30 min wait to play the game since there wasnt a lot of people in dota 2.

I got an email that wanted me a take a survey via a Steam link. Filled out the survey as honestly as I could. Now I merely wait to play DotA 2. Hopefully I’ll be able to get in.
i got to play a little bit of dota 2 at my friends house since one of his friend hooked him up with a cd key. holy freagin crap dude the que times are insane since not a lot of people have it. it literally took like 15-20 mins to find a game valve should hurry up with this beta invites and get more ppl in to kill that que time.

I piggy backed off a friends invite! Never played original DotA, but I played a ton of LoL and a little bit of HoN. I’m 11/2 with skeleton king and 5/0 with bat rider, so they are both doing awesomely for me. Then I have a whole bunch of 0/x’s who are going much less fortunately.

I have been playing the beta for a while and will give my impressions. I was a off and on tourney player in original dota and was very excited to get a chance to play the new one. However I feel they didn’t change enough of how the game plays. It feels clunky and out of date. The changes to the interface and all the out of game options are cool, but they really needed to address some game play problems. I feel the lack of updating of the game itself has left it feeling out dated and left in the dust. I wish they would have taken some good things that HoN and LoL put in there games and applied it to dota who still has the coolest heroes around. If I was to compare this game to something I would compare it to the Hangover 2. Reason being it is a lazy rehash and honestly its not much better then the WC3 version.
Sadly in it’s current state, I’d rather play HoN over DotA.
But they’re both boring so, STEP IT UP FOR LIVE RELEASE VALVE.
