DotA 2

damnnnnn they looked like shit half hour in, they are too gdlk lol

Fucking all hell broke loose when EHOME brought it back with CARRY DOOMBRINGER!
Fucking 615/GPM WTF!

i just remembered another consequence for dota2:

so much more new material for garry’s mod vids

holy fuck at the prize!!
When I read winner gets 1 million, I thought “well shoot, that’s a lot of money” and had the idea that top 8 would get a split of 1 mil and they would have to split it amongst there team mates (granted, that would still be a lot of cash).

Then I found out 1st place gets straight up the entire 1 mil, holy fuck!!

"loser walks away with 25k"
Uhhhh… that’s cool, lol ;o

light was on so go to work shit im scared of china taking it tho still =[

ok ukraine time to finish dis off

Na’Vi takes the $1,000,000 FREE in the last game of the Dota 2 tournament. Goddamn that was just complete and utter rape.

damn yeah,
i had the match on mute and was working but when i saw their team for game 4 i was like damn this thing is ovaaaa

shadowcharlie is this like a national holiday for you now

How could they give away $1,600,000 dollars in prizes and not invest some of it in player cams : /

look at the team pictures , they are just emotionless rocks

They will be the richest men in all of Kiev.

hardly lmao too many billion dollar crooks walking around in that city…
><><><><
UKRAINE is weak?!?!?
hahahahahahahahha

5 of them are smiling ear to ear. And LightofHeaven is known especially for being a stoic guy. And puppey is probably in shock since, you know, he just won 200,000 dollars.

And if you’re talking about the chinese… in DotA, second-tier Chinese teams are considered better than top European teams. It’s like Daigo losing to Gootecks and Gootecks going home with a million dollar check. You would feel like shit too.

Give Europe credit.

Putting them on tier with Gootecks is a little low.

i was just sayin we dont need player cams of dudes lost in thought, though if navi are manly men when pushing at like 20min that would be good to see

also yeah at least call europe like i dunno, i cant think of anyone sweet

It felt like a low budget online tournament. As somebody who knows nothing of Dota, I couldn’t watch for more than 1 match before I got bored and gave up. The commentators weren’t there to bring in the new audience so far as I could tell, and without the ability to see the players and the audience and the reactions I felt no connection to it what so ever.

It’s the same reason I can’t watch the NASL over the GSL, the game quality might be good but without player shots it’s just not as epic

I need to get in beta

Well, it’s been a while since the International Dota 2 tourney. Since then, a lot has happened in regards to Dota 2, and it’s not just the fact that Valve’s sending out beta invites…albeit in a very slow manner. I’m sure a lot of the folks here are following the news, but I figured I might post this just in case:

We’ve had some leaks. No no, the beta hasn’t been cracked. The biggest leaks are probably the sound files for a bunch of heroes, some of which haven’t even been released in beta yet. You can listen to them, as well as see a portrait of the unreleased heroes at this youtube page: http://www.youtube.com/user/Dota2sounds. Can you recognize any of the voices? Try listening for John St. John, aka Duke Nukem.

Also, it seems that due to the leaks, Valve is trying to push for releasing an open beta earlier than what they planned. The official blog post is here: http://blog.dota2.com/2011/09/i-said-good-day-sir/. I guess with Valve Time you never really know, but hopefully we can all get our hands on this awesome beta soon!

Other than that, I figured that I would just list this site: http://www.dota-two.com/. It’s a community site that is currently posting all the latest news that is coming from the beta, and then some. See pictures of the model viewer, and a bunch of screenshots from beta testers. Also, it’s now okay to stream the Dota 2 beta. The best way to track down streams would be here: http://streamdota2.com/. Just click a link, and hopefully they’re streaming the game!

I haven’t played the original Dota in years, but I am really looking forward to this game. It’s already got a bunch of great features in beta, which can only get better with time. I can’t wait to get my hands on this game and relearn it all over again!
