He’s crazy gankable and falls off hard late game.

I’ve taken to playing Nyx every time I see him or Drow, I don’t know who else ruins him though. Nightstalker? I’d say Bloodseeker but he sucks.
Just him in the laning phase…I don’t know anybody who counters that. Somebody really good at ganking under towers I guess.
Nightstalker and Bounty Hunter are other good canidates to gank KOTL. Free food. Laning phase is a bit different though.
Anybody that is either a nuking ganker like BH or Nightstalker (or Clinkz, or PA) can wipe him out with the quickness. Nyx, obviously, is also somebody that can work him hard. Past that, characters that can nuke and get a jump on him through items can shut him down hard. Shit like shadow blade Drow/Viper can slow him in place and whittle him down. Tiny or Centaur with blink dagger. Storm Spirit with Orchid.
Nyx, Bounty and Night Stalker are the only total, complete hard counters to him, but Keeper’s real use is 85% in the laning phase in constantly regening mana and putting early pressure on towers. Past that, it’s all about his ulti bailing out teammates that are in trouble or Blinding Light.

Nyx is pissing me off. I am about to take a very long extended break from this game because of this guy absolutely shitting on matchmaking. Who can I pick to shut down this guy? Spiked carapace lets him do whatever he damn well pleases.
5 man doto with sentries.
Or 5 carries, I’ve heard it’s S-tier.
Stop letting him farm in peace. Buy sentries and don’t let your supports run off by themselves. I’ve personally never had a problem against Nyx unless it was All Random and we all got Int heroes.
Early ganks and team work. Other than that, you are pretty much f**kd.
If Nyx is picked and you are a support, you are to not go past towers by yourself. That’s the number 1 rule. Number 2 rule: if you are pushing, BUY SENTRY WARDS. Getting the jump on Nyx can make or break a team fight. Getting early ganks helps a lot too; Nyx only gets gold from kills since his ability to farm isn’t very strong. Denying him ganks and ganking him will make it pretty hard for him to get a Dagon before mid-game hits, where he his damage/burst starts to fall off.

What I did as Zeus against Nyx in mid lane was only attacking from high ground to avoid the mana burn and then going non intel, armor and magic resist build. I remember the Nyx trying to kill me multiple and long times, backfiring with the help of my teammates.
Just get some bracers and a gem, woo.
Nyx doesn’t need many levels to be effective. Once he’s 7+, and has ulti with a maxed Q, he has all the levels he needs to ruin your shit. Nyx, as far as I know, doesn’t really have any counters.
Gem does wonders against him, though.
Yo can someone resend me a dota 2 key? Someone here was nice enough to send me during the start of Dota 2 but i put the game down until more heroes are put in (especially my top 5). Since Tauren Chieftain is now in, I am dying to try this again but for some reason it’s like my dota key won’t work. I did reformat my pc to Windows 8 so i am assuming that fucked up my key or something…
anyway, help me out.
geomancer is a good answer to naix so is a good wind runner because run move negates Naix’s slow however the only character i know who can fuck naix 1v1 is Geomancer. Just net and poof the shit out of him. I think Lycan, Terrorblade and maybe Goblin Shredder too are able to counter Naix but Geo is the only one i’ve seen so successful against Naix when both crosses meet.
edit: my bad… I thought Nyx was Naix… i’m still not used to the Dota 2 names. Void and PL are the only two i know who can counter Nyx well.
