I don’t even know what the hell you’re saying with this post. lol
Anyways, there are a lot better carries than Drow. Frost Arrows is great early on but lose their effectiveness later on. Silence is okay but you have support heroes for a reason. True Shot Aura is pretty buns and takes quite some time to become effective or is situationally useful. A passive Ult is pretty bad, IMO. Since she doesn’t have any AOE abilities, her farming sucks compared to other carries that may have some sort of AOE attack, can jungle really well, or buy items that increase their farm immensley. Drow is also really fragile and lacks any kind of escape mechanism.
She’s kind of fun for a carry and isn’t terrible in pubs, but I’d rather play a better carry. :o
Maybe because you were useless the entire game, bought extremely shitty items, managed to go negative in a flatout stomp and spent half the game afk farming while you got carried…
Dota 6.75 is out. Should take about two weeks for the changes to be ported to Dota 2 (it’s how long it took for 6.74 to be ported). Two new heroes and balance changes all around. I like the increased gold for kills and assists, and the fact that wards are now cheaper.
So I’m going to play Lich because from what I’ve been reading he is a pretty basic but good support character and if I can learn how to play him correctly much better players will enjoy having me on their teams as long as I know what I’m doing and I’m not feeding correct? Are you guys all pro or would any of you mind playing some matches with me and teaching someone how to play?
My best advice, for your first 1k games or so random heroes. Will help you understand a good variety of them and also understand the game more.
Joindota on YouTube casts pro level games on an almost daily basis and Tobi (the caster) does a great job of explaining what is going on with each hero.
Imo competitive dota is so much easier to watch than league. I could never watch pro league but I watch pro dota almost daily.
Purgegamers is good for the individual heroes. He does first person game play with commentary and explains what he is doing and why he is doing those things while playing and what the role of the hero is.
The biggest thing that can carry over from league is map awareness and good positioning. When you are learning dota just play defensively and try not to die.
Sven, Skeleton King, Axe, Lifestealer, Viper, Ursa are my recommendations for “easy”. Antimage too, maybe. Give me some of your favorite League characters and I can recommend a few Dota characters to try.
