If you buy sentries brood just sits back and soaks XP and snipes shit with nuke. If they push the lane out brood can chase easily. You aren’t going to kill her, sentries will just keep her from getting too much farm. ES has to save mana or viper is going to die. Brood is just one of those heroes, if you misplay against her you die.
If you’re saying you’ve only played these few characters… In DotA you are expected to play 85% of the hero pool proficiently. In LoL you main (a fucking absurd term when you use it for a ARTS game) heroes because you can only afford a handful. I theorize that this is the reason there are so many god awful LoL players out there.
Becoming proficient at this game requires that you know what every hero is capable of. You should break out of your shell and random every game until you learn every hero. You will lose a lot of games and piss off people like me and get flamed but that’s what it takes.
I can play well in any role, but the way pubs pick, I usually end up going support/initiator. So I’d say my signature heroes are Ancient Apparition, Shadow Demon, & Tidehunter. If I were to choose carries/gankers I do well with Slardar, Beastmaster, Death Prophet and Necrolyte. I rarely choose hard carries due to pubs picks and the ricing just bores me.
We’ll have to play together one day and hopefully I can change that. But once I get my boots of travel, call me rice bowl cause I farm like crazy and push every lane.
how tough is it to get an invite? I just finished a new PC and want to play this (though with D3 next week, not too sure how often I will be able to). Also, any suggestions for a beginner?
With my shitty ass laptop it took me like 1-2 months to get my invite from the official sign-up. I dunno why they chose me though cuz I refuse to play it when my laptop gives me 15-25 FPS in team fights. I know friends who have nice PCs and answered moderately in the survey and got their invite within 2-3 weeks. I’m hyped for Diablo 3 too, but I doubt it’ll captivate me as much as Diablo 2. My interest is too high in DotA and FGs atm for me to think of spending time on other games.
Valve announces DotA 2’s 2nd biggest event. It’s the same weekend as PAX Prime and a LoL grand final, but they’re pretty much walking distance from each other. It doesn’t confirm if it’ll have the same $1.7 million prize pool but I’m hype for it nonetheless. So far, the Chinese power house DK and last year’s winner Na’vi have already been invited. I’m definitely gonna stream monster it cuz I already watch competitive DotA from time to time.
