I still play DotA 1 cuz my laptop is ass for DotA 2, but to link to the FGC, supposedly Mike Ross and OMG itz Andre play DotA actively in the FGC. Mike Ross links streams he plays in on Twitter and he may plan on having his own stream soon (Of course primarily for fighting games with DotA 2 on the side).
Yeah mike ross plays, I chatted with him about dota at NCR when i talked to him. I try to watch competitive dota 1 matches whenever I can so there is nothing wrong with some good ol’ dota 1 matches.

After playing Dota2, i can follow Dota1 a lot easier. It’s a harder game to keep track of as a spectator though. I think it’s that both teams don’t have different lifebars that make me double take i guess.
Played with Mike Ross and some mutual friends of ours. Pretty funny to play with him sometimes… although his skill in DotA is kind of… lol. He’s not bad at all, but it’s just funny to see him play heroes he doesn’t know how to play. Friends and I call it “The Mike Ross Build”. Don’t know how to play a hero? HAND OF MIDAS. ALWAYS. Even on support heroes like Enchantress (also DPS items if you’re Mike Ross). 
I sent him a FR after meeting him at ncr and chatting up with him about dota 2. Never accepted but thats whatever. I suppose hand of Midas could work on ench but that’s really just silly.
I can’t wait for Magnataur to appear.

This was one of the most ridiculous Dota 2 games I’ve ever played. If you’re bored, watch the replay because it’s absolutely hilarious how the other team completely throws the game for us.
Ridiculous pushing power in the other team.
If anyone wants to see what throwing is, look up my id: Kengan and watch my last mirana game, I believe it is the most recent game. Our team was down early and managed to crawl back mid game. After wiping out their entire team our warlock decides to farm and push bottom lane until their entire team revives and kills him.

The most interesting to me is AM’s win percentage is 49.56% and Nature’s prophet is 51.51%. That shows these heroes aren’t that instant win and require proper play, especially with the team. I also find it funny Ursa and Lich have the best win percentage. Just shows how pubs don’t know how to deal with chain frost, denies and how to kite/disable Ursa.
You can also stalk people and look up player’s records and the people they play with and shit. I knew Mike Ross and OMG Dropped Combos played, but so does Mike Watson, Victheslick, Hungbee and other FGC peeps we prolly don’t know yet…
I guess you could kind of relate Dota 2 to Street fighters in the sense that there is a difference in “tier list” between competitive and pub. Ursa would probably be the Guy of Dota 2, once you get the match up down he’s next to useless.
I don’t get how Enigma is at 48% win rate though, IMO he’s great in both pub and competitive play and is often overlooked.
Someone tell me how ES/Viper lose to solo Broodmother in a lane.

I don’t really have one. The heroes I’ve won the most with, according to my DotA 2 stats, are Sand King, Slardar, Earth Shaker, Lich, and Lion.
I do really really well with tide for some reason. I have like a 90% win rate with him.
I like support when I’m with a good team but can hard carry when needed.
