RE: Last night’s Flaming and My Dormammu being Cheap
So… 2 perfects last night on a Master Lord using Dorm (Dark hole)/Thor (Smash)/Doom (Beam). No answer for M Teleport +Plasma Beam. He called sentinel time after time trying to get in, and Doom nullified the drones and killed sentinel every time between the 3rd and 5th try. His other characters were ineffective without Sentinel. We actually played 6 times, and he quit in the middle of the 6th game after losing sentinel for a 4th time without being able to use him on point. The other two times he put Sentinel first, where, using thor, I killed him in 1 combo lol.
This is not even to mention that my long as triple launcher with Dormammuu on point from MID SCREEN does 900,000 + damage with 1 meter lol.

So all the hate mail ensued where i’m being called “cheap” for using Dorm/Doom and that my team has way too much health and I’m a bitch for using teleport tricks, and i’m a Fag because Thor’s resets do 100% on the entire cast. THEN he gets mad when I call him salty. THEN i’m all kinds of N words and apparently I should eat a dick because according to him my “beginner” status is false advertising lol. Should I change this? I feel like I shouldn’t because it gives me an advantage since they are unsure of how good i am (or am not lol). So should I play ranked matches? And is my Dormammu team cheap??? only peron I have trouble with in the entre game is Wolverine…

Mossad, have u realized, that smash assist from thor gives you the enough time to charge three red hands and explode during a combo ? this way maybe you can extend your damage …

Well, really, it’s only 2 launchers that you listed.
After Doom does Plasma Beam at the end of that, I bet you can connect a Dark Matter or Dark Hole before Chaotic Flame, but I’d have to test it.
To answer your questions:
Do what you want. I stopped playing at around 4th lord because I got bored and the connections were all bad. If you want to play ranked, play ranked. Plenty of the better people I play against regularly are ranked Beginner/Fighter, because they just don’t care.
It’s very cheap - keep using it. Anything that isn’t cheap in this game loses. That’s how it is designed and meant to be. Sentinel Force is cheap, and he’s just upset because your team was a little cheaper than his.
REALLY. Man that means technically, if I have 3 hands charged I have time to hit with 2 d:3s in one combo??? Awesome. Ok that’s fucking exciting. Lets see if I can map this out:

but only in the corner since Doom’s beam knocks them so far away. Also, the timing is kind of strange due to the awkward recovery of Flame Carpet. Its actually better if, when you have them in the corner, you do Dark Matter after the Thor assist, then continue the combo like normal. i think its about 20,000 more damage because there’s less scaling since its done earlier in the combo. You can also do Dark Hole, but you can’t do Dark matter >dark hole. That’s what I really wanted. only way really is to find a way to charge D1 during the combo then, after the Dark matter, hit them with that into Dark hole (i think… theory fighter time!). Hmm i’ll test that when I get home. I do something similar when I play Dorm/Thor/Tron, but i use :a2: first. Its like this:

Launch, air magic series, (land), :a2:, st :h:, :f::h:, st:h::s:, :h::s:, (land) :a1:, :df::h:, (thor hits twice, ground bounce), Dark Hole, Chaotic Flame. Hmmm I got some ideas… more on this later.

Great video BigD! I really like that team! I want to play Dante with Dorm, but I’m not sure if I have the execution for it.
Gotta be careful about throwing out that Stalking Flare a bunch, so many times it came out I’m surprised that Andre wasn’t punishing (minus the Gravity Squeeze near the end). I noticed they also led to burning XF early as well.
Ok I worked on those combos this weekend, but I couldn’t upload any vids because my son SMASHED MY LAPTOP SCREEN. Man I was heated lol. Took a few days to calm down, but i’ll be without a computer for a few weeks… :(. I was working on combos where I used Dorm (Darkhole)/Thor (Smash)/Tron (Flame) and here’s what I came up with. I can’t remember the damage figures but the combos were pretty though…

So based on this you can do about 900,000 with 1 meter or kill them with level 3 done after the Thor assist. The timing for some of these is really strange, for instance you have to wait in between standing H and standing S to make the air combo easier. It doesn’t seem like it but you do have plenty of time to do charge and execute Liberation D:3 during the Thor Assist! It is very heavily scaled, of course, but whatever! This is my new corner B&B with this team. Only changes I make is if I don’t have Liberation already charged, after the Tron assist, I’ll go into the jumping magic series, land, call Thor then do Flame carpet instead of the other way around.
One more thing, the timing for landing C:2D1, flame carpet, Thor assist is STRICT. if you do it too late they will tech out of the flame carpet and Thor will miss. If you do it too early, thor will hit, but the flame carptet will still be there so they get hit by that again and tech, so no tiime for D:3. If you have good reactions you can go into Dark Hole>Chaotic Flame but i could only do that if i was trying to. If it happened accidently the dark hole missed every time.
Seriously I found like 10 different variations for this combo lol. But this one was the most difficult, so I liked that one the best lol.
This is pretty much all I did this past weekend for Marvel. I worked on my MAKOTO for AE coming out tomorrow, so i’ll be on a short Hiatis or will be playing in spurts. Gotta get her ready to go!
didnt told ya it was easy to D3 on thor’s assist, but its possible, so I usually already have a d1, and gather the other two after his assistance glad you came up with nice combos, I have myself one i will upload soon, but it doesnt involve thor…

no you were absolutely correct. I don’t know if you meant this but you have time to do all 3 during the assist and activate it. Thats what got me. I was like WTF? Awesome. But this leads me to believe that there are other assists like that. I’m assuming that the assist would have to incorporate a bounce. So maybe Wesker’s Ghost Butterfly? any other long lasting assists that cause a wall/ground bounce? I’ll look into it tonight. if so, then you might be able to get 2-3 charges and activate during those too. The wesker one would be espeically dangerous given that you’re playig with WESKER instead of thor lol.
I beleive you can try with Haggar pipe… what I dont know, is if its possible to bounce twice an enemy with different assistances, well, you could let us know… naaah I will try myself when I get home lol! and yeah, I meant that of three charges =), Thormmamu is very powerfull haha!
