The only good trade-in program is the one that allows you to trade back a new triple-A game in a week for almost full price.
Others are not worth the bother, just keep the games.
Ill trade a game in, if its that bad. If I remember correctly I traded Left 4 Dead and some other garbage game for SF4.
Goodbye zombie panic, hello hadoken.
I don’t know why you’d want to trade it in. After playing Super for a while, I want to be able to load up the original and pick out all the little tweaks and changes I had forgotten about.
I just did it with New Generation recently and it was awesome. I had completely forgotten what beasts Sean and Ibuki were before they hit them with the nerf stick.
Nostalgia is like the greatest feeling in the world after getting your dick rubbed.
Edit: Also, I used to work at EB Games and Lan Di is right. They will get so many copies of SF4 that they’ll probably end up practically giving them away at Christmas just to get rid of the inventory. Nobody will want the original after Super drops because it’s essentially a replacement and they won’t see much of a return at all. That’s why all the old sports games sell for 99 cents.
I think you have microsoft to thank for that, it’s 29.99. part of calculating the value of a game depends on supply and demand but since it’s on Games on Demand anyone can get it just about. Gamestop has to compete with that so they are gonna give you crap value for it but they will probably sell it for 24.99. Fucking Game Stop is a joke. People really need stop buying games from them. Also the new pending release of SSFIV is another indication of the rip off, it’s getting the "madden’ treatment. Don’t sweat it cuz SSFIV folks are suppose to “get” something if they hold on to their copy of SFIV.
I am very skeptical about the “special thing” you get if you keep your copy of SF4 and buy SSF4.
It could be as legit as sony claming there will be a program to “somehow” digitize you UMD games when you buy PSPGo…
I hope i’m wrong.
I own every format SF4 and id still never trade one in. this is the only game (bar counterstrike) that ive consistently played all time over any other new game for over a year, and i still love it more than ever.
why would one ever trade that in? its earned its place on the shelf / in the attic
Gonna keep my crappy US Collector’s Edition next to my JPN SSFIV Collector’s Edition…possibly the only reason why I bought it was for being a fan for so long. Now if I had the regular edition…yea, probably would have sold it long ago and have my only one friend who plays it bring it over every time we play.
No, you dumb ******, he’s using Hitler as an obvious example to point out the obvious flaw in the obvious go-to apology for obvious behavior. I love how forum culture has literally codified ways of making people stupid.
“Yeah, people who killed millions were also ‘following orders’, thus proving that it’s a poor excuse for literally everything”
“So… X is the same as killing millions?”
“No, it’s as bad as you not ending up as a coathangar abortion”
P.S. love the tone suggesting that your dumbfuck leap of logic somehow – likely some Elder God influence – was actually you being clever. Un-fucking-believable.
Are there any other retailers doing this besides gamestop? I thought I heard news of used game programs popping up at major retailers and even trade-in kiosks appearing throughout some malls.
