Sounds like AVGN in a way lol. I am similar to you in that though.
I have a question. I bought SFIV through Capcom’s digital download service online for PC, so do you think I will get the special whatever-it-is when SSFIV comes out for PS3?
No. It’s all digital, you’re not sending in box tops from your Count Chocula addiction, right? You are going to have to stick to whatever format you started at.
Which is too bad considering there will be no PC Super.
(I kid, I kid.)
Never trade in games that are older than few months. I once took a stack of old games there and looking at my receipt afterwards i found they gave me $0.00 for a couple of them. I would have kept the damn games if I had noticed at the time . Nothing is worth ZERO dollars.
It sure is.
Are you sure? Because from my time working there, if a game was worth 0, you couldn’t buy it back. The system literally wouldn’t let you finish the transaction.
It was years ago (ps2 games) and it might have been a penny, which is equally worthless.
I find the disc makes an excellent beer coaster, and you can also use it to signal for help if your plane crashes in the remote wilderness.
I’m sure I’ll find more uses for this as time progresses.
>_<
I’ve learned my lesson about trading games in…My friend just recently traded in Resident Evil 5 when the DLC came out and he didn’t have his copy anymore so we couldn’t play the new co-op campaigns. I’m still waiting for someone else to play with so I haven’t bought them yet.
Stick it in your closet and then dig it out in several years to run some “retro night” casuals like some people still do with 2nd Impact.
I’m pretty sure at least the SF4 PC will still be useful as there’s a lot of people who don’t and won’t buy consoles.
i traded in Ratchet & Clank for $30 @ Future Shop… the 30$ was going to be used to pay off SSFIV, God of War beat 'em to it though
SFIV is at it’s crappiest deal since the Holidays… Remember last christmas the price dropped to $20? Now it’s always $25 or $35 even though it’s going to be outdated soon.
I wonder what we’ll get for keeping it though. . .
just sold my copy for $32 on eBay
I plan on giving the game to my little cousin. Seems like young kids are not really interested in fighting games but once i started teaching him how to do specials he has been stoked.
Let me preface this by saying that I work at Gamestop.
I don’t understand why people expect to get $15-30 for every game they trade in. Right now a copy of Street Fighter 4 sells for $20; that’s only a profit of $16 for the company. And as much as I hate to sound like I’m plugging their Edge card, if you do the math with that added in, the profit margin for the company is only $12. Not to mention the constant deals and trade-in offers they are running, which could bump their profit down to as little as $5-$8 in the case of their 50% trade-in bonus deal. AND not to mention paying for the manpower it takes to inspect, gut, clean, and file the game in the drawer on the shelf.
I’m not saying that Gamestop isn’t a greedy, heartless wallet-raping thief at times, but when you complain about trade-in values it just shows how little you really know about business, and smart shopping.
rumor in the other threads are that u get 2 extra colors. not worth it IMO.
I actually bought SFIV just recently even though I knew SSFIV were coming out and that it was not worth anything in the second hand market. I The reason for this was that it was very cheap to buy and I figured that it would make a nice gift for my friend once I buy SSFIV. :wonder:
Colors!
i traded mine in for 15 bucks at eb
suckerrr
Yeah I like those games better than SFIV. LOL.
