Thank you everyone for showing up and making it an event. Lots of fun. I played CVS2. That game is slowed compared to the other games but it’s really fun and different. I surprised myself that I actually knew how to play Terry Bogard and Yamazaki. We had about 14 people.

It was cool to see a lot of MVC3 players here starting to play Third Strike. I love it. We’re living in the Street Fighter Renaissance right now. These old games have got some legs.

Do you believe that we are in the midst of a Street Fighter/2D Fighting Game Renaissance? I mean how is 3SO doing right now? It seems like there’s a new buzz for 3SO and it’s like 11 years old. Now only if ST would catch on with the younger crowd. It actually did last week when a group was up on the ST machine.
CVS2 is a great game. It’s original. Looks great. Terry Bogard is so fun to play. My CVS2 team was always Bogard, Guile, and Ryu. When I played it last night at first it seems slow but I think it’s suppose to be slow like that. Remember I’m use to ST speed. There’s so many things to do in that game.
There are fewer bugs on the original arcade set ups than there are with what they’ve released. Most annoying for me is playing online, catching someone with an EX Hadouken, and it takes them down to that really low, one pixel of a life left moment and the “KO!” sound plays out, but no logo and they’re not down.
