Since Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection will shutting down soon, now seems like the perfect opportunity to try and revive the game by moving over to Dolphin’s netplay! Don’t worry about needing to upgrade your PC. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars is one of the few Wii games that has a five-star Dolphin compatibility rating, which means it’s very easy to emulate!
What You Need:

If your game’s MD5 does not match your opponent’s, you may not be able to sync.

Installation:

Hosting:
[list=1][]Click Tools at the top of the Dolphin window.
[]Click Start NetPlay.
[]Set Traversal in the top-left, not Direct.
[]Click the Host tab.
[]Select the game in your list of ISOs.
[]Click the Host button to host a lobby.
[]Click the Copy button to copy your Host Code ID.
[]Paste the Host Code ID to your opponent.
[]Set the frame buffer to your opponent’s ping divided by 8. Adjust as needed for higher latency. (4 buffer = one frame of input delay. 60ms = recommended buffer of 8 / 2 frames.)

Known Issues:
[list][]Having “Insert SD card” set to on and having any Wii remotes enabled will cause immediate desyncs.
[]The game may stutter while it loads character effects into memory the first time you start it up. Just play through Survival for a while and it shouldn’t happen again after that.[/list]
