im hoping for someone to post a tutorial in landing L. web throw off a spiderbite,
ive practiced for months already, and barely get it 1 out of 20 tries. i know you C. heavy when juggling opponet then spider sting spiderbite, i got thatdown and cross up but always miss the throw.

Honestly, it’s not worth your time to learn it unless you’re planning to lessen your combo video recording time. Why risk dropping a combo when you can just do a simpler finisher to a super?

Anyway, to land that web throw, all you have to do is to buffer your direction input before you land then press :l: to catch the opponent. It’s even harder to do it from a raw grounded sting/bite but it’s possible; floating opponents should be a bit easier to catch.

also ive been seeing combo vids, idk if my eyes are decieving me but is spidey able to land a webthrow of spidersting if you already use the ground bounce?
and also one more thing, how exactly do you get the webthrow wall bounce.

I’m going to assume you’ve seen some combo video with a Deadpool assist. If that was the case, then yes, it’s possible to re-bounce because katana-rama resets the ground bounce state.

For the web throw wall bounce, the supposed idea to get it was to get a very fast web throw catch as soon as you cross up. I was able to replicate the glitch quite consistently months ago by using a kara sting then :m: web throw to corner on Thor because of his big hit box. There’s an old video of this on my sig if you’re curious and it also comes with the grounded, raw sting/bite to web throw iirc.

thanks, i sometimes get the wall bounce, when i air dash to web zip off a knock down while missles are coming for an otg. just never figured out how it wouild sometimes happen.

I’m still wading through the combo theory with Spidey. It’s hard knowing when you can fit in his other special moves or OTG stuff after you’ve used one up. Seems like Spider Sting isn’t what you want to start with for long combos. I’d say the best starter is Web Swing, but that seems to make other things impossible later on down the road. This guy is complicated. I don’t know whether to throw away parts of my combos and just get in as many Web Throws as possible or try to get in as many hits as possible.

^Actually, the best and most damaging combos have a web throw very early on. The reason why a lot of bnb’s don’t start with :l: :m: :h: xx :l: web throw is because it’s harder to confirm off of and it is unsafe on block if you are very close to you opponent. standing :m: has tendency to whiff on crouching opponents even if they were in a combo, but you can’t do the crouching magic series because cr.:h: doesn’t combo into :l: web throw. Also, muscle memory is another factor that makes it harder to start combos like that. Since vanilla, people have been using crouching magic series into web swing, but if we want fully optimized combos off of clean hits on a standing opponent, we will need to break out of the habit of starting with web swing. A good starter that people use for their bnb’s goes like this:
cr.:l: cr.:m: cr.:h: xx :l: web swing, j.:m: j.:m: j.:s:, land, st.:h: xx :l: web throw. I think this combo stem will give you the most damage of all the combos that start with web swing.

I’m still working on getting it more consistently but I’m able to fairly get the wall bounce glitch to work with missiles for that extra bit of damage. I have only been corner testing it so I’m not sure if it will work midscreen with a slightly different missile trajectory. I’ve used Wesker and Wolvy as dummies. I’m also trying to get a bnb to fit the glitch in for good damage.

For those wondering, it’s pretty simple but needs a sj :m: :m: :h: :s: magic series finisher which isn’t usually used for optimum missile damage combos.

Actually that is the optimum missile damage combo. You do that with a goodd bnb starting from web throw you’re guaranteed about 870k though I can’t remember if that’s using kara stings or not. The key is to not use your spider sting prior to the missiles which screws the damage and scaling.

Had to go verify. Doing my web throw BnB with the said missiles finisher I ended up with 850k using no spider sting ending in WT/MS. With spider sting/bite into WT/MS I got 875k and with kara sting WT/WT/MS I received 906k. I’ve dabbled in quite a few missile finishers but none have let me deal that much damage using only one assist and one meter finisher. I should also state that Doom missile finishers vary from combo to combo.

I never do kara sting combos except for casuals or combo videos.

My swing to throw combos average at +/- 850k, throw starter combos get a bit more and multi-swing combos do the least damage. With the glitch, you get an extra +/- 40k which is relative easy to spot if you get it to work. Have only been testing it on the corner with short combos since the bnb with swing > throw calls Doom midscreen if you start from the corner. Just did it for a few minutes with relative consistency but had to go somewhere so my lab time was cut short.

I’m trying to get it consistently enough to be practical.

In any case we are still talking close to 900k with just one assist. Web throw combos vary depending on screen positioning though obviously the closer to the corner you are the more damage you’ll get for less work. Web swing combos aren’t that far behind though.

I blame it on Airborne… shrug

Maybe I just missed it, but has there been any further discovery on this wall bounce glitch? I’m assuming we’re talking about the web throw into the corner, opponent bouncing out, and getting another web throw back into the corner. I’ve been keeping an eye on these forums seeing if anything popped up, but didn’t notice anything. Is there a concrete way to get it to work? How do you do it in the first place?

I was able to more or less consistently get it to come out on Thor in one of my videos. Now, I’m trying to get it to work with my missiles combo. I’m getting it rather consistently on Wesker hurtbox sized characters but I’m still trying to get it to work universally. eventually making it practical. I am able to get it now from anywhere, unlike when I first started. I’m too lazy to record atm though.

My idea of getting the glitch is to get a cross up then to quickly web throw to the corner. It may have something to do with the auto-correcting nature of the game.

Airborne has inspired me to try Akuma anchor. I mean I still like the Raccoon but Akuma might make a good sub against beam teams.(Something that wrecks me already :|) Does anyone have any good tech for Spidey and Akuma? Or Doom missiles and Akuma? I came up with a few things of my own for the latter but I would still like to see what others got going that I can learn from.

I don’t think this is the right thread for that. I think that’s more of a team building thing.

Well I need combos of Spidey/Akuma extension via Tatsu. It could possibly be either thread.

as long as you can convert off tatsu with dashes and sMH M webthrow you should be fine. Airdash in with jH and tatsu, zip in with tatsu, etc.

tatsu extenders are whatever as far as i’ve seen. usually use it as a way to get in, combo starter

@Bees experience is & can still be a harsh teacher in the beginning but the journey is worth it. Your best bet to gain the answers you seek Bees is to invite Airborne to a player match & let him explain as well as show you the synergy between Spidey N Akuma. Only other player I know who runs a similar team but is Spidey/Akuma/SuperSkrull is Blaqk Meldioc& I’m not sure if he’s been online lately. Seek out Airborne Bees for your answers.

Yeah I agree that usually it is a combo starter. I also like to consider though if I have to extend combos with it to get that kill.
