Well this is interesting at least to me. Kookymanus sent me an email today talking about a new combo he was working with. Anyways as the convo progressed he told me he was able to land a midscreen web throw from a launch after long combos using Kara stings. He told me he tried on hulk and Thor but I know they have wider hurt boxes. I did however just test this for myself and sure enough I’ve grabbed Vergil Cap and am working on wolverine after I post this. If I can understand the science behind it, it could become useful as far as solo Spidey is concerned
Oh my bad. After a Kara sting quickly do c:h: :s: xx :h: web throw. From what I’m seeing it double crosses under them putting the web throw right under them
What I’m also seeing is that you have to launch after the c:h: almost instantly, kinda like plinking. The web throw also seems to throw in the direction you were originally facing (I.E. if you are going to the corner you will throw to the corner still allowing another web throw
I’ve been messing with it some more and while I’m getting it more consistently now the fact that I have to use ground bounce earlier than I’d like kinda sucks. I attempted a few non Kara sting setups but no luck :sad: oh well, hopefully someone else finds something for the midscreen.

I’ve been messing around lately with Hawkeye’s arrows because I made a mistake of calling him instead of Doom one time I was playing. What happened was that the arrows hit just at the time of :s: so I was able to follow up with instant air dash stuff but have a stored HKD :s: at normal jump height. I was wondering what you guys can do to make use of the normal jump height HKD. Same with Strider where you call him before launching then catch the opponent before they drop at normal height with air dash :h: and have HKD :s: stored.
Just wanted to come and ask, but what’s the most damaging bnb for spidey solo? I keep seeing assisted combos. Also is there a way to extend combos with Akuma’s tatsu?
The reason is because you will almost never play Spidey anchor, you’d rather raw tag him in to his demise than have to waste XF3 on him. As for tatsu assist, you’re probably going to do the usual assist call + web zip OTG to web throw or super.
Spidey’s combos have an MS ending to reach his highest solo damage but to do this, his combos must end with either a sting/bite bounce or with :h: sj web swing which require him to shorten his combos. This is the reason why Spidey’s combos always come with assists and why he should always be played on point.
Most damaging is an old bnb I was using back then but with delayed j:h: j:s: after the first web swing instead of j:m: j:m: j:s: - just cut/finish it then add an assist. same for the others below

Most practical combo is iNerd’s bnb - you can add and OTG assist at the end or do assist call + zip OTG, you can also change the first part to delayed j:h: j:s:

Mega late but can anyone tell me exactly how to get Kara sting to cross up? I’ve done it once or twice completely by accident but I’m having a hard time getting it in my combos. Is it completely dependent on the opponent’s height when you c.H or does hit stun decay play a big part? Also the dashing under for web throw combos. When I dash under the next normal usually whiffs.I’ve watched Xero’s videos but I’m still not seeing exactly where I’m going wrong.
In case Hit stun does matter, this is the combo I’ve been using to get decent damage without the advanced double web throw tactics.

j.S cr.M cr.H XX L Web Swing a.MMS land s.H XX M Web Throw, air dash OTG web zip j.S s.M s.H XX L Spider Sting/Bite cr.H s.S a.MMHS, Call IM, Back dash-> Jump-> OTG, Dash Under, M Web Throw, Call Doom, H Web Throw, M Web Throw, H Web Throw, MS.
Nails about 700-800k I think and if you DHC into IM it gets between 950k-1mil.
Hit stun doesn’t really play a part in the kara sting because spider-sting will always combo into spider-bite as far as I know. The timing and the height of the opponent matters though, for example, if you web throw someone into the corner, you can’t cr.:h: xx :l: spider-bite right away. Also, you should make sure you are cancelling into :l: spider-bite when spider-man’s body is lunging forward the most. I know it can be tough at first, but eventually you’ll get it. Just keep practicing by web throwing the training dummy into the corner and trying to kara sting. Hope I could help.
Not home yet but I will definitely give it a try ASAP. I think the part about Spidey’s body lunging forward might be where I go wrong. I usually cancel as soon as I input the cr.H which might explain why it’s not crossing up. Thank you for the advice and I’ll be sure to report back after some practice
Any Spidey-Doom players here? I need some help. @ 1:25 of this video, Mame Spidey calls Doom to relaunch Cl0ckwork’s Doom to finish the combo.
I’m trying to recreate this, but my training dummy keeps falling out after combocombocombo…s.H–>Hard Kick–>Manual s.J–>j.M(2 hits)–>H.Footdive–>S.Footdive. The dummy nearly ALWAYS falls out in between j.M and H.Footdive, and I’ve been practicing this for, like, a month. Anybody have some helpful advice, because I’m about to rip out my dreads in frustration
