Does What a Spider Can! UMvC3 Spidey Combo Thread

Right now, I am just using the word combo as getting multiple hits.

Not so much as an “official” combo that people have made/found out etc. Right now I either heavy web throw into super off of sent drones or I jump MHS L web swing.

I have been playing with this team for about 2 days now, maybe 9 hours total in lab and 1 online. One thing to note, I am not execution savvy… at all. My team I played for 4-5 months was Haggar/Hulk/Sent

Neat little thing is after a sent combo, call jill arrow kick, rocket punch drones super into microwave super.

Raoh or Z after a spider sting AA what combo bnb do you perform?

I have two combos I go to.

spider sting/bite c:h: xx :l: web swing j:m: j:m: j:s: j:l: j:m: j:m: j:h: j:s: s:m: plus Doom :s: sj:m: sj:m: sj:h: sj:s: land :s: xx :h: web throw Maximum Spider

spider sting/bite xx zip j:h: dash under s:m: s:h: xx :m: web throw OTG zip j:s: s:m: c:h: xx :l: web swing j:m: j:m: j:s: s:m: plus Doom :s: sj:m: sj:m: sj:h: sj:s: land :s: xx :h: web throw Maximum Spider

obviously you can sub out assist but that’s what I usually go for.

Depends on your combo extender but since I use Doom missiles, I just do c:m: s:h: xx :m: web throw to zip OTG combo. Then, depending if done mid screen to about 3/4 screen of your opponent’s corner, you can do … zip OTG j:h: then dash under s:m: s:h: xx :m: web throw c:h: :s: sj:m: (sj:m:) sj:h: xx :h: swing sj:m: sj:m: sj:s: land call missiles :l: web throw :l: web throw :l: web throw then MS. If I’m using poison tip with Hawkeye (usually vs Strider), I get 2 extra :l: web throws.

If I’m closer to my side of the stage, I just take away the dash under and use zip OTG j:s: s:m: c:h: :s: sj:m: (sj:m:) sj:h: xx :h: swing…

Edit: I dash forward to get the first c:m: to connect. Also, if the opponent is small-sized like V.Joe, I jump towards the corner before I call missiles for it to OTG.

ok thx guys! I will try you re combo raoh but i m using defenitivly vergil in 2nd char and doom on endchor.so i will try your second combo Z cause right i m already using your 1rst combo but i have so HSD prob in the part of j:l: j:m: j:m: j:h: j:s: so i will try out some combos with web throw

wow maybe someone could give me a pointer on L dp into crawler assault… every time i get it, it hits like 4 hits then wiffs the rest…

Either I am doing it wrong or can’t be done.

When you OTG while they are in the corner I am trying to call Jill to wall bounce (Arrow kick assist) it puts you beneath/on the opposite side but I can’t seem to get a web throw in there.

I have also tried it to where i just stand there and try to dash under and web throw. No avail.

Think any of you could do it or try and tell me if you can or can’t pull it off? I really don’t trust myself alone in these regards.

Yeah, it always comes out as a web swing or a web ball. Very frustrating. I am trying to just basic launch combo, OTG arrow kick, throw towards corner, call sent, throw out, throw corner, throw out super.

But yeah, I am having trouble with the web throw from the wall bounce and I can’t tell if the game just isn’t letting me or if it is something I am doing wrong personally. (timing, not getting my stick back to neutral etc)

Since you’re just doing a basic combo, is it possible to input s:h: before (fastest) :h: web throw ? That’s probably enough time to remove negative edge inputs.

Edit: Nope. Not possible adding s:h:. However, I didn’t find it hard to web throw though. I’m assuming this to be a combo ending in the corner. Just don’t rush the inputs :m:/:h: web throw is fast enough to catch your opponent from the wall bounce.

It sounds more like he may not be going back to neutral when he’s attempting the web throw

After the wall bounce are you throwing them back towards the corner? That is what I am attempting to accomplish.

This may be it. Have you gotten it? Again, I am trying to throw them back into the corner.

Yes, since you mentioned adding drones to the combo. Not sure if you’re doing the same but after landing from the air combo, I call Jill then I back dash and proceed to do jump zip OTG.

Yeah, that is exactly how I am doing it. So I am just not getting my stick back to neutral then? and should I use the L M or H webthrow?

strict timing or no? (wanna make sure I am not rushing myself)

Just do your web throw command after your opponent crosses you up so that you won’t get any negative edge inputs. You have lots of time to the the web throw anyway. Like I mentioned in the previous post, the :m: and :h: throw makes it easier because they both come out faster than the :l: one.

I can’t seem to connect the H Web Swing consistently, what am I doing wrong?

Are you delaying your inputs? You need to slightly speed it up when you launch them for the :h: web swing to connect.

Raoh this is what I have for my Storm team.

That was the easiest for me to get the j:s: j:s: but I had to start with the j:m: before the j:h:. Now if I start with just j:h: it goes like this but I lose about 40k
