That’s because hitstun is maxed by then
Haha, I know that. What I meant was that I’m not sure which other combos work well with the fake TAC aside from those which flip. I think there are other means.
I mean that late in any Spidey combo a j :l: should tech
I blame it on Airborne… shrug
True. It isn’t enough though that they flip from they sj:l:. The HSD should just be enough for a consistent* meaty sj:h: to hit all tech directions for the reset.
You can always time inputs for a meaty reset with whatever combo. However, with how marvel is played (pressing buttons), a slight miss time may result in losing your character.
It’s not that bad. j:h: lingers for a while. I would probably say its slightly harder for you with your reset but it shouldn’t be that much different in timing.
I blame it on Airborne… shrug
How do I OTG?
Whenever I do S+H zip they always pop out…
you have to press S or H when the zip otg the opponent,it s take a while to take the timing but train it more and more good luck
I still can’t hit it, it is making me rage. lol
Quoting myself again.
tyvm
i will keep trying later on, right now i call drones and OTG them then web-throw and super lol
I’ll add your quote to the front page later today
I blame it on Airborne… shrug
All good!
lol sry raoh I understand all of what you re saying about the otg but I can t explain like that in english cause this not my first language :(.
now i can do dead combo with spydey and vergil in match. For me the most important for spydey is to master web zip wiff and dash under and i master both of them
Okay, I have spent at least 7 hours in the lab and I still can’t OTG. (but hey my movement and web swing combos are getting decent! hahaha)
I don’t get it, does the zip need to hit a special part of the body? Is the timing extremely extremely extremely strict and I am just missing it?
When I zip to OTG I then hold up and mash H or S and am getting nothing, do I have to press up at an exact time or something?
You should watch some videos to get how it’s done. Sig link!
The j:h: or j:s: after the zip OTG doesn’t mean that you jump after the web zip OTG hits. It just means that since the zip OTG is an air move, you’d be pressing either :h: or :s: while zipping down from a jump which is why there is a jump caption in the combo notation. Not sure if that’s what you mean though.
Will do.
and you clarified it very well for me. I was thinking you had to zip, land, j.H/S. I didn’t know that the H or S during zip counted as the j.h or j.s.
I am really enjoying Spider-Man and Jill’s arrow assist allows for easy web throws from the wall bounce when people get caught.
EDIT: from your videos, it looks like I may be to high up when I try to otg?
After the web throw, there are a few different ways to get the spacing for the OTG web zip correct. First, you can just jump up and do a full airdash, then web zip. You can also do a ground dash, jump up, do a short airdash and then OTG web zip. I use this one a lot because I think it gets me closer to the ground, and its just my personal preference. Doing a heavy web swing after the web throw and web zip cancelling the web swing once you are near enough to the opponents body works too. I haven’t actually done it this way before, but I have seen it so it works. All you really need to do to get it down consistently is to practice it over and over, and eventually you will get it. I hope I could help.
I tried it both ways and I have had the most success with a dash, jump zip. I am starting to hit the OTG now and combo off of sent drones.
Out of curiosity what combo are you attempting to do and what attack are you trying to follow up with after the zip? The combo really does matter as Raoh stated but I don’t think anyone actually asked up front.
Nice! I think I have video of Spidey with Sent. I’m pretty sure you’d be able to make better ones along the way now that you’re getting used to zip OTGs. GL!
Also, like DeskLamp said, it doesn’t matter which method you use do the zip OTG. What matters is you get the feel and be able to do it consistently with the method you choose.
