You may have me confused with someone else. I don’t do web ball setups to UWT in this version nor do I use c:m: c:h: after a spider sting/bite due to the nature of my combos the would force the flip
I blame it on Airborne… shrug

Does (in the corner) :l: Web Throw, kara :l: Spider Sting~:h:, :l: Web Throw, :l: Web Throw work?
Yes it does it was how I first discovered the setup

Thanks. Gonna try tacking that extra :l: Web Throw onto my bnbs and see if I can break 900k. Don’t feel like finding/learning any new combos. lol
That’s the fun part about playing Spidey though
More like the hard part. Unless there’s a practical combo I can do to put out 950k with Spidey/Hawkeye/Skrull, I don’t feel the need to learn any new combos; I’m pretty content. If I know at least 2 bnbs (one for ease and one for damage) for various situations (air-ground, air-air, etc.) and different hit-confirms (j.:h:, j.:s:, :atk: Spider Sting, etc.), what use is there to learn more but to build hype for an audience?
Well here’s my question. What’s your bnb now and what assist do you use? I can think of some Spidey combos that should allow plenty of damage with that team but it depends on your style combos first.
While it may not be a BnB, a solo Spidey Combo (starting with a raw :l: web throw and ending with a MS) can reach about 910k… also you have to be in the corner. With Frank’s shopping cart assist, I can do the following:
:l: web throw, kara :l: Spider Sting/Bite, :l: web throw, :l: web throw, WD OTG zip, j. :h:, :h:, :l: web throw, WD OTG zip, j. :s:, , c. :h:, :s:, j.
, j. :h:, :h: Web Swing, j.
, j. :h:, j. :s:, Shopping Cart Assist, OTG zip, j. :s:, :h: Web Throw, TK MS
The combo does about 908K, but unless you are in the corner and happen to get an :l: web throw, that’s not gonna happen. With the right assists though, you’ll probably be able to break it.
Legend: Stone Smite :a1:, Triple Arrow :a2:
Most damaging 894k:
j.:s:, s. > s.:h: xx :l: Web Throw, Air Dash, OTG Zip > j.:s:, s.
> s.:h: xx :l: Web Throw, Air Dash, OTG Zip > j.:s:, s.
> c.:h: xx :l: Web Swing > j.
> j.
> j.:s:, s.:h: xx :h: Spider Sting~:h:, :a1:, s.:h: xx :l: Spider Sting xx Web Zip, :l: Web Throw, :a2:, s.:h: xx
Web Throw xx M.Spider
Go To:
j.:s:, c. > c.:h: xx :l: Web Swing > j.:h: > j.:s:, s.
> s.:h: xx :l: Web Throw, Air Dash, OTG Zip > j.:s:, s.
> c.:h: > s.:s:, sj.
> j.
> j.:h: xx :h: Web Swing > j.
> j.
> j.:s:, :a1:, Dash, :l: Spider Sting~:h:, :l: Web Throw, :a2:, s.:h: xx
Web Throw xx M. Spider
Off of Spider Sting:
:atk: Spider Sting~:h:, c.:h: xx :l: Web Swing > j.:h: > j.:s:, s. > c.:h: > s.:s:, sj.
> j.
> j.:h: xx :h: Web Swing > j.
> j.
> j.:s:, :a1:, Dash, :l: Web Throw, :a2:, s.:h: xx
Web Throw xx M.Spider
Easiest and Most Practical:
c.:l: > c. > c.:h: xx :l: Web Swing > j.:h: > j.:s:, s.
> s.:h: xx :h: Web Swing > j.:h: > j.:s:, s.
> s.:h: xx :h: Spider Sting~:h:, :a1:, s.:h: xx :l: Spider Sting xx Web Zip, :l: Web Throw, :a2:, s.:h: xx
Web Throw xx M.Spider
You are giving up sooooo much damage. If I remember right stone smite causes wall bounce correct? You can throw them back to the corner before wasting ground bounces. For that matter stone smite should also be your last assist in your combos since it’s stronger in terms of properties and what it can open up for Spidey. Lastly you really should start investing in dash under combos. If you’re going to do kara stings you might as well learn it. You get more web throws and you still end in the corner to use your assist.

I’m trying to build a collection of DHC setups for Ultimate Web Throw. Here’s my first batch (some are for characters that I don’t play, so I didn’t know/couldn’t do the setup combo, but perhaps someone can build on them)

Not sure what you mean by this.
Not sure what you mean by this either; Stone Smite is already used relatively near the end of my combos. Even though it wall bounces, there’s nothing more I can do that late in the combo extra for :atk: Web Throw or :l: Spider Sting xx :l: Web Throw because hit stun is too high. If I try to use anything else, the opponent will pop out.
Dash under combos are good. The reason why I haven’t learned any yet is because they’re situational. I’m not a fan of checking how far I am from the corner every time I want to do a combo. I tend to prefer universal, less damaging combos than situational, more damaging ones.
They arent that situational. Besides you should have a relative understanding of where you are on the field at all times. As for what I meant if you use hawkeyes assist first then skrull you could manipulate it to where you get a wall bounce, throw back to corner, then web throw back out. That’s assuming you have used your ground bounce already. If you haven’t then moving skull to the last assist could open up wall bounce, corner throw, kara sting/bite, :l: web throw :l: web throw TK MS. In general spider stings is one of the moves you want to push to the very end of your combos to allow certain setups.

Yeah I mixed that one up, he calls himself just Xero no numbers, its even written in the Youtube description, never the less I liked what I saw
here the link:
around 1minute vs the blue Hulk
Jesus Chris, how many UWT did he get away with?
I guess Hulk just has to take it
I haven’t actually tested his escape myself, but can’t he just tech forward and mash :l:?
Something that really mystifies me is the parameters for Ultimate Web Throw. It got heavily nerfed since it hit both on the ground and the air in MvC2. However in MvC3 and UMVC3 it’s only Anti-Air. I can deal with that, however every time I get into an appropriate setup for UTW it doesn’t work.
It’s retardedly specific. I can’t use it when the opponent is in a state of hit or stun in the air, even they are in EXACTLY in the position where they should be caught, which (Web) throws its combo-ability right out the window and the entire move seems downright impractical. I’m not a high execution player so I can’t ever seem to land it outside of training mode.
So, what are the conditions to use UWT?
it’s an anti air throw. they have to be in the air in the web and not in combo or blockstun, and they are not capable of being grabbed when they come in from snapback or char death unless they press something (just something to prevent airthrowing people on their entry)
Maybe it’s my fault for not describing the combos I listed with clarity, but I’m pretty sure I already do what you’re describing minus the extra kara sting, :l: Web Throw (which I was asking if I could add in anyway). Combos were done in order that I transcribed (backwards at least).
