Depends on who you want to play more between Hawkeye and Ammy. I’d prefer Ammy between the two for your team because she’s got better lock down, which can allow you to sneak in She-Hulk’s overhead, and other mix ups. Either of the two are fine with Spidey. As for Spidey’s assist, I’d go with web ball since both Ammy and She-Hulk don’t really benefit from his other assists. At least with web ball and good reads, you can do some air grab resets, especially for She-Hulk.
Web glide = web zip. That’s just how it’s called commonly here. Swing zip = web swing xx web zip.
Some use web swings cancelled to web zips, like in #2 to keep Spidey low to the ground for an easy connect web zip OTG. You also can follow Z’s rules.
How you do it doesn’t really matter as long as you get the effect. Just practice then adjust to make it more comfortable to do.
Has anyone seen the R.Nguyen’s Spider-Man combo? I tried Dante with Doom and got a combo starting with c:l: c:m: c:h: that gets to close to 1.1 million damage, I got up to around 1.07m, and can build its own 2 meters. It isn’t even optimized because I haven’t used the kara sting combos and am not sure if I mashed Million Dollars hard enough. So, if you start with 1 bar, you’d be able to DHC to get to around 1.2m damage. The combo just uses Doom missiles and does require Spidey’s spider sting assist for that little damage and meter build. Capcom sucks for nerfing web swing assist, would have been way better if it were back to soft knockdown.
Also, I just did basic Dante combos. I’m pretty sure others can add tons of more stuff.
Nope, I haven’t seen it. I don’t think he published it already. I saw that you posted his update on twitter that he can do a Thor killer with 2 assists starting from 1 bar and a c:l:. So I tried to do my own with Dante on my team instead of Hawkeye to see if I’d be able to pull off some combo with around the same output. I guess was able to.
Oh okay. I assume you’re hard tagging into Dante, doing a combo into million dollars and then DHC to MS?
This was one thing I was thinking about today, xero’s videos get about 700k meterless damage with karasting and doom missiles, and I was wondering if you could hard tag someone like doom and do even more meterless damage (assuming you could, say, do two reps of his corner loop).
Doom won’t work, they’d flip. Mine doesn’t even use kara stings so it’s sure to break 1.1m if I did the combo with those. Also this is the first time I’ve used Dante in UMVC3. Plus my button mashing is absolutely horrible.

No one will work as far as hard tagging goes in my combos since the second spider sting puts them right on the ground and by the time they do animations for coming in the opponent is about to get up. :sad: I was thinking the same

Btw, everyone keep in mind that DHC’ing into Crawler Assault at the end of Raoh’s combo would grant the extra time on the hard knockdown since he’s in the corner, allowing you to call Dante’s Jam Session while Web Zip OTG’ing, granting you another Web Throw and Maximum Spider. Doing so after the second combo would grant you about… 1.24 M O:
God, I wish I had more time before Final Round… Actually, this is giving me more ideas with my current team so I’ll have to experiment with it sometime in the near future… Lol, shit I got something on my mind now:
Spidey BnB-> raw tag to Dorm, call Nova assist, Flame Carpet, Dark Matter during the ground bounce, xx Liberation Charge, Dark Matter xx :l: Dark Hole xx Chaotic Flame DHC Maximum Spider or Crawler Assault. May not quite do an ideal amount of damage, but I’d say it’s worth tinkering with.
It might just be only worth it do try with Dante, but it’s worth trying with other characters, don’tcha think? Something might work with Spencer, Iron Man, etc.
Actually there might be something there with Iron Man… raw tag Iron Man in, call assist :l: Smart Bomb, :l: Repulsor Blast/Repulsor Spread, :h: Smart Bomb xx Proton Cannon DHC Crawler Assault call Repulsor Blast OTG Web Zip Web Throw :l: Web Throw Maximum Spider. Hell, you might actually be able to get 2 assists in for the Repulsor Blast “loop”. God, this makes me want to try out Spidey/IM/Nova again…
If that Iron Man ender works it’d be amazing, specially considering Repulsar Blast as an assist allows for all that webthrow wonderfulness. I need to level up my spider-man before playing IM though…the skill needed to confirm his random hits is even harder than Spidey’s.
Yeah, Iron Man’s execution curve is retarded. Alukard hasn’t really screwed with his higher execution yet by the looks of his recent matches, but you can tell by his spacing that his Iron Man is RIDICULOUS.
, i got a question about the kara spider sting. Im having trouble landing the web throw after spider bite, do u hace to tine the bite? The throw just goes through,any tips?
yes you want to time your web throw to come out as soon as you land so it’s almost like a buffer from the bite as opposed to landing then web throwing. Also time your bite to come out as the first available moment or asap possible so you can land with them or roughly the same as them for it to work.
Yep, time the bite at the earlier frames of the sting. There’s no real trick to it, just buffer the web throw before you land so you can get it to grab from the bite. It’s even possible to web throw from a raw spider sting/bite, having your opponent in a juggling state just makes it a tad bit easier.

I was messing around with spidey doom, and saw vids if people raw tagging with his hard knockdown, u can hard tag to dooms s. M or s. H to lvl 3, ha spidey got lvl three now
Yes, you can as long as the tag is from a web throw to the corner, otherwise, it’d be too far to follow up. It can also be done after your first use of the spider sting/bite ground bounce in a combo because the next bounces after that makes your opponent to recover faster than the initial one.
In an actual tournament setting. The Webthrow then Dash Air dash Web Zip OTG is fucking annoying. Most of spideys combos are cool. but in terms of actual practicality, getting it 100% consistently is hard due to silly determining factors, especially with his OTG into S.
Hmmm, I’d have to agree when it comes to throwing them into corners. It makes it a bit hard, but I don’t dash after a web throw so I just zip earlier from jump IAD. Other than that, I think it all comes down to continuous practice.
