I wouldn’t think that hardcore Tekken fans would be very impressed. The Tekken characters are in the Street Fighter world, and function similarly to their characters. I think it would have been better if they had just given Tekken characters their style of moves and maybe added a few street fighter like moves, rather than what they did.
I knew I was talking to a moron the moment I saw Shaq-Fu in the sig but you somehow still managed to surprise me. Lol I’m done here.
You have got to be joking. As an avid CvS2 player…no. Just no. I don’t understand the comparisons to that game, they are nothing alike…and…NO.
At lost for words on that part…
This game doesn’t satisfy the hardcore anybody.
This game just needs a few more tweaks and it’ll be fine, its not really as bad as people say imo.
Not an avid Tekken player here, but I’ll toss in my two cents.
Rather than taking on the more challenging (maybe even impossible) task of recreating the Tekken cast while keeping their feel intact and balancing them into the game, they chose to recreate them as Street Fighter characters. The only thing that transferred over from Tekken that’s really unique to SF is the high/low string combo game. Does Tekken have invincible moves? Normals starting at 3 frames? Divekicks and SF-like jumpins instead of hops? Where are the oki mechanics and crazy front/backdash mobility? The only reason Tekken characters are in this game is to spur hype and draw in a new fan base.
Which would be fine, I like SF, but I don’t think the Tekken characters brought anything worthwhile to this game. The extensive strings from Tekken are confusing until you learn their ins and outs (how many hits, frame advantage, high/low options, potential gaps, awkwardly short/long blockstun, etc.). Obnoxious at first, gimmicky later on. The game would’ve been a little better off without this. Also I still think the game is too much like SF4. I loved SF4, but I was hoping for something that would feel more fresh. After playing SF4 for a couple of years, this game feels pretty lackluster.
WDF WHAT IS THIS DAMNABLE SPIRIT THAT HAS U POSSESSED TO SAAY SUCH RETARDED NONSENSE!!
Since Cvs2!!! What the fuck is wrong wit ppl? Saying “since” something come out is not me drawing comparisons to it.
Plenty of SRKians have very bad reading comprehension.

Booooii Idc if u said since SF4…U still speak BLASPHEMY!
@XtraKurrikula
the more you post the more i hope that you are trolling
but Shaq Fu is awesome :(, the best SF of all time
Unless you are devout fan of MK9 or SCV you shouldn’t be mad at my post.
Hopefully this Dudley music from 2nd impact should chill you guys out

i think in terms of movement speed its there with tekken 2. < the actual revolutionary tekken.
its the 3 frame jabs and stuff that make it feel odd. i think.Quite alpha 2 like.
it doesnt matter how ‘broken’ a game is, people find their ways.its still early days.
Of course this game won’t satisfy hardcore Tekken players (who’s only into Tekken)
I like 3d fighters but I’m not into them so much, I’m playing them and dropping them after 2 months, and I’m not expecting big satisfaction from TxSF either
but I’ll play it and have fun
so if you never liked 2D fighters just don’t buy this game
but if you like them like me just have fun
coz I think this game is fun and newbie friendly
PS: and it’s too early to judge it’s balance they’ll rebalance it anyway
and Nerf shotos (I hope)
Mostly flawed. Very very very flawed.
