this shit doesn’t even satisfy the sf4 players on here LOLOLOLOLOL
If anything this game has made me more interested in Tekken again. I used to play 3 and playing lili has made me want to play the real tekken verison of her. Also txsf will be the superior of the two cross over games. I just like harada’s approach and motivation to beat ono. I mean shit my main from Alpha 3 karin has the top vote. I promised myself that when both of the cross over drop i would play the hell outta them and be good at them. I’m eagerly awaiting the announcement from harada that either some sf characters gonna be in ttt2 as a preview or when he offically shows a screen cap of Xstreet fighter.
Lars -looks- like he’d be similar, watching some of his moves in a few videos and, as a Lars player across multiple games (Tekken, Naruto, and soon to be SFxT) he does have some recognizable things.
Yeah, though… its silly to look at SFxT and expect it to be a Tekken game just because it has Tekken characters. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, fat chance that TxSF will play anything like an SF game.
I dont thinks so and I dont think it was ment to seeing the game plays mainly like sf but with tekken characters
Nope.
The novelty wore off of having SF and Tekken characters on 1 screen, this game made me better at SF4 but did nothing for my Tekken.
“Street Fighter X Tekken” never satisfies the Tekken fans.
“Tekken X Street Fighter” never satisfies the Street Fighter fans.
I dont get why the OP is specifying “hardcore” Tekken fans, even casual Tekken fans dont like this game.
From what I’ve seen/read, the only people that are satisfied with it are either:
- people that dont care much for gameplay and just play for story mode and get bodied by the CPU/mashing online ( low standards.)
- people that just jump on anything new.
- all of the above
There are of course people that dont give a shit about how good or bad a game is and will play whatever as long as they enjoy it. Nothing wrong with that, doesnt make the game any less shitty though.
I’m a competitive (i think thats what “hardcore” implies) Tekken and SF player and I’m not satisfied with this game from either standpoint. The game definitely has the potential to be a great game and its fun in its own way, but the glaring flaws it has atm makes it impossible (at least for me) to even try to take it seriously.
If they decide to tweak it -soon hopefully as its already dying- and fix all the stupid shit (Timer, Jabs, infinites/glitches, hitboxes, rolls, throws, jumps, and hopefully the SF4 grossness like autocorrect/shortcuts etc) and also take out some obviously unnecessary stuff like Pandora and Gems THEN it’ll be an interesting game thats worth looking into imo.
Till that time comes though this’ll always be an unpolished turd thats run by who abuses their +9924752 jabs more
If you havent already bought the game just turn away and go get SCV/KoFXIII/SGs/MK9 or some game thats not ass. This is not worth anyone’s time.
Yeah, that game was totally bogus. I’m trading it in for Street Fighter V this afternoon.
If you want a Tekken hybrid with 2D try MK9.
I don’t get the hate for this game, its easily one of the best on the market hidden DLC or not. This game is suppose to satisfy FG players, so if you like FGs in general then this is for you. LOL @ “go get SCV/[S]KoFXIII[/S]/[S]SGs[/S]/MK9” you clearly are fucking crazy
It’s because all that other stuff matters; even if the turd sandwich you are having for dinner is well prepared, immaculately plated, and served with the best appetizers, side dishes and desserts, you’re still eating shit.
…MK9 actually was a decent game (it is still is, I just dont like its pace and i hate combo breakers)
I dont follow the game anymore after NRS got a patching fetish and released a million of them, but last I saw it was a very solid game. Its also way more polished than SFxT so I dont see your point <____<
It had its issues in the beginning but they fixed all the major glitches and bugs very fast, yet here we are with SFassT and the glitches/infinites/alltheotherstupidthings are still there, are they not?
the DLC is the least of the issues for me personally, all the things I listed are gameplay problems (stupid hitboxes, ambigious jumps from more than halfscreen away, mindless footsies thanks to how dumb the jabs are, worthless throws, tekken characters are just El Fuertes with better tools etc etc).
This is not a good FG in any way, shape or form. If you enjoy it thats fine. Fun is subjective, good game design is not, and this game doesnt not fall in the latter.
Are you saying KoFXIII/SGs are bad with you striking them or is that for SCV/MK? Either way any of those 4 games are leagues better than SFxT from a gameplay standpoint, competitive or not.
lol Dr. Cola
SFxT is nothing alike Tekken - I dunno why you thought that playing SFxT would improve your Tekken game at all.
Pretty much this.
While I’m having fun with SFxT (something that really surprised me), the game is mediocre at having a “Tekken-feel” to it. I remember Ono saying that the Tekken characters would be pretty “basic to compete” with only four inputs - like in their original game (which would be nice to help Tekken players into SF if they’re not familiar), but that was not the case too.
Gems and other stuff are not even the problem. The problem is that almost everything were implemented in such a shoddy way that the game became shit because of it.
[S]And you’re rich like me, grab SCV/KoFXIII/SGs/MK9 AND SFxT - all of them.[/S]
I lol’d.
MK9 was not ‘polished’ on Day 1; there were a ton of issues that needed to be addressed after release.
They admitted they were issues though and fixed them right away. With Capcom they dont even acknowledge the isses this game has, instead theyre like “Oh the gameplay is wonky and really stupid? Here have more gems and on-disc DLC LOLOL”
-_-
I knew I’d get heat for my post but MK(enjoyable but no) and SCV(may as well keep playing tekken) better the SFxT GTFOOH!! The more you play SFxT the more all the BS n cheapness becomes second nature to defend, the first few hours online is brutal after that its really good. Gems ain’t even issue and they won’t make you justin wong overnight. SFxT prolly the best SF to come out since CVS2.
eternal blaze @ throws should be worthless
doesnt satisfy cvs2 players. NOT EVEN A LITTLE.
I’m not going to defend Capcom; I think the way they have handled the release of this game has been absolutely atrocious, and they should be ashamed for ruining a game many of us have been dreaming about for decades. SFxT forced me into a fighting game hiatus out of anger and disgust, so if you want to rag on them, you have my love and support ;).
The Tekken characters in SFxT would have been better if they copypasta’d the moves from Tekken using the traditional 4-button scheme. Maybe some new Capcom moves using the HP and HK, including the chain strings… but otherwise it should have been more or less the same so it would feel different.
