Practical Doom/Ammy combos, please?

Doom doesn’t really use any combo extensions as far as I know. All I ever see people doing is after doing your foot foot foot dive just st.:h: + ammy call into molecular shield xx sphere flame.

Hey guys, I know Doom is pretty much optimized as a solo, and I’ve been too lazy to dig through to see if someone already did this haha…

but been playing around with his solo optimized corner combo and eventually got it to work mid screen. Only difference is that you whiff a falling normal to fall more quickly instead of dashing straight down. Probably not worth it unless you have perfect execution but it’s fun to see how it looks midscreen. If you do it with hard kick it looks even cooler imo :stuck_out_tongue:

what is the timing for the assist extension at 6:50? I"m assuming i just land, call firebrand+whiff fast normal, st H (OTG) dash jump cancel jS? is it a super jump S or something? I keep whiffing the footdive…

Does anybody know who to do the Solo double super combo?

finish your combo in the corner with hidden missiles to otg on the way up, canceled into THC and then when the missiles come back down, do photon array (I don’t remember how many missiles you need to shoot… 2-4 I’d guess :/)

But are there combos for Dr. Strange, specifically midscreen, I find him really difficult to combo

It sounds like you just aren’t quite comfortable with Doom combos yet. Practically any of his standard combos will work on Strange. Repetition is the best advice I can offer.

any advice on how to make both sides of Photon array hit after a light molecular shield?

Figured it out, gotta wait until after the last hit and they will fall to the ground, gotta hit em with photon at the lowest point before they hit the ground and they will get smacked by both sides easy. Got Solo damage up to 995,800.
just got it to 999,800. using basically the same combo posted above in the video.

double hitting photon array is a hitbox thing. Not every character eats the full damage.

I’m trying to improve my Doom by learning his better bnbs and I’m having a bit of trouble with the one I’m learning for midscreen. I’m trying to learn the second one on this video. Only problem is that I can’t seem to do it off of a throw. Is it possible or should I do something else?

Throw combos are different than regular combos. You’ll have to look for a specific throw combo.
I think that vid has the relevant ones though.

im just curious when are maziodyne loops useful other than the obvious?

I was fucking around and was starting to think of throw combos etc that you may not be able to sneak 4 reps in but maybe 3 then the ending reps and before i spend time labbing i was wondering if anyone knows any situations.

Example: i saw ray ray hard tag from mag into mazio then ending loop

I know of mid screen(F+H, cr mp, S)/corner (F+ H, S) mazios vs grounded opponents and thats it.

Corner throws, corner air throws, Midscreen throws, Midscreen Air throws, and Raw tags make me curious


Also one last question. Are their general rules for air confirms vs aerial opponents? I know how to confirm vs an aerial opponent at all highs at a basic leve but I see some crazy shit by top level doom players that makes my think “WTF just happened”

I have a rough idea for some basic stuff but if there are any know tips i would appreciate it

General rule is use a confirm that doesn’t end in S. Footdive. Those aren’t too good, even though they kinda work.

Sorry if this is written anywhere, but does anyone have notations for the confirm off of hardkick that full schedule did this weekend?
Its off of a hardkick dash cancel normal jump. Kinda hard to explain. I’ve seen Marvelo do this confirm as well.

EDIT: Nvm I found it.
You do Hardkick and dash cancel upforward for pressure. If the Hardkick hits, you airdash up, M H(buttergun), land, jump forward M H footdive ADDF into ground chain to transition into a bnb

mmmmm nice good find. what i tried a few times was just doing hardkick and superjump if it hit, but this is way better. im gonna try doing this
