I play DOAU online once or twice a week online and their are some funny stuff when high ranking players lose to a lower ranking. I like to play for fun but some high ranking take it serious like there money involve. For example I was playing this S ranking player and I was an A+ ranking players, all he do is just block wait until you finish your move and throw you through the whole match. Well then I figure out how to beat by doing low attack and follow with a juggle combo in the second match. When I beat him he got mad and said “you f*kin fag, you fkin exploited the match” I couldn’t stop laughing at him when he said that. After next month I be trading this game in for Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for Xbox because situtation like that make lose interest in a game when someone can’t take a beating.
SC2? Get out with that garbage
On topic: Yeah there is some funny shit to be had. The second day I was playing(had this game since it first came out) I was playing as mmc Lei Fang and blocking this dude’s predictable shit and then his buddy in the same room (on Live) started bitching that “Lei Fang is too good at blocking, that’s cheap”. Then I go for her :d: :d: + K FOURtimes in a row! Then I hear “That move is so broken, you can’t see it coming and it’s impoosible to hold or block, stop being cheap fucker and do something different!” ggod times, good times.
Haven’t been on lately 'cuz my bro is always on Halo2 but I hope to get back on soon.
and to think i was gonna pay $88CDN for this game
i played this online at a friends house using his GT and kept on beating high graded/ranked players using Helena, they’re all talking shit like this game is real comp, they brag about all the other fighters (CvS2/#R/MvC2/HSF2/3S/CFE/Tekken series/SC2/VF4) being garbage, i told all these fuckers to go fuck themselves and some of these bitches never even heard of EVO before, also i said when the date goes to 2/22, the real comp will be 3S, they all fucking left the room…i wonder how it’s like in SvC?
lol, sc2 garbage? better then shitty snk games you love, lol
well you guys should check out the official atari dragonball z budokai 3 forum. their are alot of noobs their who think their the best and can beat your level 99 customize character with their level 50 character. i usually yell at their ass telling them that we humans can beat CPU character’s very easy, but nope, they dont care.
and yea i rather play soul calibur 2 online than DOA ultimate online.
SC2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>DOA Hey what happened that piece of shit fucker JustOwnin? XD Anyways this world is too full of scrubs who think their good…the other day i went to this Microplay and played against the workers there some SC2 they thought thye were good and they were godly they were playing with 200% life (it took ages to finish a mtahc) and they didnt guard impact not even once in a best out of 9 o_O And I owned their “best” player grand winner of their tournament -_-…and Ive barely ever layed SC2 and when I ask them about SF3 CVS2 MVC2 theitr like “What the fuck that crap is old everybody is good in those games”
I put mvc2 I start playing top tier characters and they almost start droolin bcuz of the sight of those combos they had no idea such things could be possible and now they respect the 2d games bcuz they know it takes a shit load of skill to be good at them its not about Hadouken hadouken shoryuken!
Bah, I like DOAU. It’s not better than VF, Tekken, or SC2, but it’s solid. It has the BEST ONLINE SYSTEM in a fighting game out right now, that’s for damn sure. And I’ve met some hella nice people on there. However, I’ve also met a few asshats. I have never before heard someone talk shit when they didn’t even know what a quarter circle forward is. Still, it’d be nice to have some more serious fighting games with the “virtual arcade” style system of DoAU. Why SEGA and Namco haven’t released their shit online I’ll never know.
I would kill you at this game…you don’t have any idea what you are talking about.
lol, whatever.
rather then talk smack prove you know what you’re talking about…
I will once you do some research and come up with a decent argument.
well I have an argument, which is more then you have
Your argument is you getting beat, because your to sorry (or maybe just dumb) to know when to mix up your attacks between Low/Mid/High. That’s not that great of an argument.
Ya? Well yo momma so fat, she,
Oh wait, my bad.
I won most the games I played online so those commments have nothing to do with being a sore loser or whatever ur implying I’m just stating the obvious. I just abused ein’s quick strings, lame priority moves and the broken throw system, takes next to not time to master this crappy game.
Fuck mix up doesn’t mean shit if you just get lucky and guess the right height, and you reward is an effortless 1/3 of the opponents damage, shit reverals can even do over 50% if you knock them off a tier or into a wall etc.
Yeah, its as simple as that. Its easier to win if you just sit there and randomly counter you’ll probably do just as much damage as a combo if not more. You cant just counter shit… at least make the player have to hit something after they grab the limb or something. If Itagaki would take his damn glasses off indoors, he’d see this shit and fix it.
More comments from people who played the game for 5 minutes, oh well.
This game is pretty tight. Controls are top notch, action is fast, enviroments add to the gameplay, great gameplay, beautiful graphics, hot chicks, nice costumes, great online interface(TN gives more shits about figting games than Capcom). True this is no VF but nothing is. DOA is the only other 3d fighter I play that. Namco has always sucked, SC on DC was okay but waaaaay overhyped. Tekken could be one of the best fighters if Namco would put to use the 2 punch and 2 kick buttons to do something innovative like limb damage, but instead they use two extra buttons for nothing that couldn’t be done wiht one p and one k like VF and DOA. Also, wtf is with having to hold back for block. G cancel that shit.
Offtopic: when did I become an SNK fanboy? If I have any fanboyism, it’s toward AM2.
Tekken’s 4 button system has the largest potential for moves out of all the other games. Even better is that T5 (mostly)deviates from the “standard attacks” that everyone had in previous games(i.e.: not all “standard attacks” have the same properties). However, they have yet to use this to it’s full potential, because then the game becomes stupidly complicated. VF uses it’s button scheme in the most efficient way, however.
People who randomly counter get owned. TRUST ME, I’ve seen it over and over. 'Tis far better to block most of the time. DoA ain’t the deepest of games, but it ain’t that simple either.
Okay I stopped reading there. Fan service must mean more to you then gameplay.
I’ve seen a few SS players basically abuse one thing. They do nothing but turtle and wait for you to attack, then they either
a) get a counter and do big damage or
b) block your attack and throw.
Its easy to get a free throw after most moves are blocked due to the horrible broken frame vulnerbility and unless they’re stupid enough just do a plain p+g throw, there isn’t shit you can do about it.
My observations of the ‘best’ players I’ve seen online is that they all abuse the broken facets of the game
The only 3D fighting game I respect outside of Soul Calibur and Tekken is virtua fighter. In Doa you can pretty much pick up any character and use them rather well on the first try. The main thing you have to pick up is learning when to counter and when to attack high and low.
