With all the trash talk aside, we all know whose the best at streaming. Props to everyone doing all that work for FRAY, but lets talk straight facts. Spooky is the best at what he does and you can add me to the petition… But I really doubt the Evo staff will allow an east coast guy to run the Evo stream. They rather have a west coast stream that dies in grand finals then an east coast stream that just ran a 16000 viewers stream with no hiccups. They can’t deny Vic’s work, so they’ll say something like “Oh, he talked trash about Level Up and thats not professional, so he’s not streaming Evo.” These same people know that the basis of the FGC is trash talk… Lets hope they prove me wrong though.

Their comments are pretty off base too it’s funny. Criticizing spooky for getting hacked or making baseless claims of lack f professionalism is pretty out there. Spooky’s stream goes by the atmosphere the TO wants to have. Shinblanka said let it rock and that’s how it went.

Spooky may not get the chance to stream evo but I’ll show support for him and his work every chance I can get. He’s given me more entertainment hours than I can remember.

The level up guys seem to be butt hurt over someone stating the truth yet have no problem twisting shit so it seemed like spooky streamed porn, when it was really someone that hacked the stream hash key. Oh and like it was stated before by another poster they have shit talked team spooky themselves on their own streams in the past.

Also, Evo is not the only major problem Level Up stream has had before that is why you are seeing such a large amount of support in the community for Team Spooky, because frankly he provides the best streams of majors with the no to very very little fuck ups. Final Round 17K+ Team spooky handled it like a fucking boss.

I really hope Evo staff don’t ignore Team Spooky due to bullshit reasons. Don’t matter end of the day the community will continue to support Team Spooky. Spooky himself does the work that normally would take a whole team to do. He is dedicated as fuck and it is about damn time he got the nod for Evo.

spooky runs the best backend. you can say he’s not professional on mic, but you can put whoever you want on mic. his streams consistently have better quality, better up time, he handles tech problems far cleaner than other teams. if things go to shit, or you have limited resources you want spooky back there.

honestly, the biggest difference is that he’s passionate about streaming. he’s got his head in the tech finding better ways to do things, better equipment solutions, he puts in the time and effort. certain other teams act like it’s a chore or that they’re bored by it and it shows.

The LevelUp stream of Evo 2010 was worse than what is being stated in this thread. There were problems other than the stream going down during the finals. The stream was borderline unwatchable on Friday. They were not using Ustream initially and had to switch to it because the quality of the stream was so bad.

Regardless of what Yzae B says, I would love to see what Spooky can do in regards to EVO and the large crowd that it would bring.

A lot of people are talking about Level|Up and what happened at EVO’10. LET IT GO. There was at least a stream brought to the tens of thousands of people that watched, and its not like the footage was lost forever.

On one end, just based off whats happening with the EVO 2011 Tournament Season, I don’t see why Vic and TS shouldn’t stream EVO. They are doing majority of the US Streams in regards to the EVO’11 Tournament Season.

But on the other end, I agree with what you guys are saying too, why can’t the stream gods of the FGC, like Spooky, IPW, L|U, Khaos and everyone get together. Especially with the two GIANTS that are MVC3 and SSF4, as well as MK9 and Tekken 6. When there are tournaments like Winter Brawl and Final Round running dual streams, why not? The only thing I could see being a problem is that Evo is at a casino, so while there may be internet there, it is being split up between 500+ Rooms.

Right now, I think a lot of things that are being said in this thread, are just people blindly throwing things across a room, hoping it hits its target. Sure Spooky may have said something in regards to Level|Up and Level|Up, or members of Level|Up haven’t promoted Spooky, the way Spooky promotes/promoted Level|Up, as well as posting things via twitter, but WE, and by WE I mean everyone who isn’t Spooky, Valle, ShinJn, and Potatohead, are all bystanders, hoping that what we are saying might be true.

In short, like I originally said, I would love to see what Vic and co. can do and they have my support. If you want to see it as well, sign the petition, if not, then thats your preference.

The greatest streams I’ve ever seen outside of Japanese 60-FPS streams have been DJWheat’s stuff from Devastation. He’s been doing streaming for a long time and his stuff is so professional. His actions to deliver the best content to stream monsters sometimes get on players’ nerves (like stopping a match to put it on stream), but pure stream quality wise he’s on another level.

Sp00ky is the best when it comes to overall content. Great commentators (can I get some Chris Hu?), great stream quality, little to no hiccups, hilarious slang, and just an overall great fighting game package. Also he does so much that I forget that there are other stream providers too. I can’t remember the last time I saw a Level UP major but the Wednesday Fight Night streams have been top quality.

I don’t know if Level UP can handle a large number of viewers but I’m sure Sp00ky and DJWheat can. The last two EVOs were unfortunately both low tier when it came to streams. 09 was horrendous (that was IGN right?), and 010 was decent near the end. If LevelUP can get some of that DJ Wheat technology then I’m sure the EVO '11 stream will be godlike. However, my donation bucks go to Sp00ky because I see that man putting in so much work.

Valle and crew is looking more unprofessional in all of this than Spooky. Seems they are a little jealous a one man crew outperforms all of LevelUp.

Also, there were way more problems with Evo2k10 steam than just grand finals. Quality was piss, poor pathetic, and Friday was unwatchable. Pass it on Valle, you are looking tired in all of this.

Seriously, LevelUp goes to a local venue on Wednesday nights and the occasional west coast tourney. Where is Spooky? ALL OVER THE MAP!!!

There is no way in HELL Vic would stream porn. The man is all about his business. Really think about it, you work your ass off as a 1 man team to bring to all these events to the homes of every FGC member and your going to piss that all away by showing porn? That makes no sense at all. Clearly someone whats to make Vic look like a idiot to make themself look better. That clearly was a smear tactic to make Vic look stupid. Vic is also streaming more then half of the EVO events. I already voted on my team site and I will vote here as well. My vote goes with TeamSpk00y for the EVO stream

I’ve been stream monstering for a while now and I can say for sure that all my best stream experiences were with my man Vic. His streams are definitely above everyone else’s. Quality, concern for stability, commentators, concern with the viewers etc. He’s just on another level.

From things like Spooky not using JTV for a long time because of the stupid international caps. I’m an international viewer and many times I missed entire majors because of that shit. And the videos took an horrendous time to go up to YT. And he only made the jump when JTV updated and he could get that cap removed.

From things like handling the chat, the matches streamed etc. Stuff like “I respect the hate guys, just don’t go too far.” or asking people to go watch the other stream etc. This man had integrity and love for the community and what he does. And he was on his right to put himself out there, he wants to do EVO it is his right, people already wanted him to, if he didn’t voiced that he would be missing an opportunity.

Wanna see a good meme in our community? What happens in the chats when some stream goes down and shit happens etc? People all spam “SOMEONE CALL SPOOKY”, that’s what he does he keeps shit clean. Like people have stated before, there were stream problems left and right last EVO. And you can’t compare an intentional malicious Hack, like some people are doing, that not everyone saw it with so many stream bs over such a long period of time.

This may be moot as arrangements may already be finalized but I would also say Team Spooky is the best of the streamers. It also seems he is working harder at it than anyone else just by sheer number of streams/events/etc. I would hope that the amount of work he is doing for the community would be rewarded.

He said something about the Level Up stream because of frustration over not being reached out to and all he did was state the truth, that his product has been reliable where Level Up has had hiccups.
