EVO used to be a celebration of the fighting game community. Now it’s becoming more and more money hungry PG mainstream wannabe attempt. It’s a betrayal to the community to put 100% novice commentating the grand finals. WTF!!!
EVO is cutting slowly it’s roots and believe me it will lose some of it’s excitement if they keep dumping down to casuals. Spooky for EVO.
Both sp00ky and level up stream are amazing instead of calling each other out they should get together to talk to Wizard and have multiple streams for evo this year. Nsb has three to four streams running at the same time why cant we do this. We need more one stream this year because of marvel 3 , mk9, super, and tekken 6.
Spooky never called out level up he defended them when the evo 2010 thing happened and when he was streaming and level up was too he would he would tell his viewers to go watch the level up stream but level up never does that for spooky even in wnf when they had the Dojo Sports ad potatohead kinda dissed spooky spooky had never done that to them ,and some of the level up guys are tell straight up lies spookys jtv account got hacked he didn’t stream that .they are childish and jealous if they would team up and do the steam that would be great but what the people at level up have said it’s not gonna happen.

Sp00ky did call out the level up team during final round about the stream dying during the heated finals with daigo and ricky. Don’t be a fanboy and sit there and act like he didn’t call them out because he did you making yourself look bad in this thread and making it worse for sp00ky trying to stream evo. There should be one then one stream this evo it’s 2011 for the people who cant attend evo and want more then one game.
Ponder , Ink and Mr.wizard run evo it’s up to them who streams evo based on who is the best…dont act like level up always going to stream evo

I always make a point to watch some of every big fighting game tourney, and without a doubt Spooky provides the highest quality, reliability and overall enjoyment factor on an amateur’s budget with amateur’s equipment. It would be a major letdown if politics come into play regarding who streams evo this year, just because Valle is a street fighter legend doesn’t mean he can provide the best service. That tweet that you guys linked a few posts up was totally uncalled for and stunk of desperation. I think level up knows that they’re outclassed here, I’m actually sure of it.
Calling spooky unprofessional is nuts, I’m fairly sure the guy did not get any sleep Saturday to Sunday and he worked an eighteen hour day today on no sleep. And from what I can tell he’s a really good melty blood player but he never enters the event because he would rather provide a quality stream. I’ve never heard him say anything malicious about anyone on stream either.
There is no way I’m a fanboy either, I just appreciate good work and recognize spooky’s passion for bringing the hype from fighting game tourneys to fans that couldn’t make it out for whatever reason.

The whole reason spooky made the call out was because his performance is being ignored. Real talk, Evo, represents the world but in all actuality is a west coast tournament. east coast streamers not apply.
Coming from a more developed competitive gaming community, this west coast east coast bullshit just hinders growth. It’s funny to because most fans of 2d fighters are grown ass men.
I would like to see Spooky stream Evo 2011!
