That’s a relief. I’m not that good at fighting games anyways (not yet at least). So being able to grind it out doing offline modes is good for me cause I don’t want to lose so many matches in a row just to win one out of like 200 I have to win in a month.
it all depends on how much time you need to unlock one char and if i will like the newcomers or not.
based on the names alone i am not interested at all but no one knows how they changed gameplay wise
so i will wait and decide later which way i want to go.
If this is the case, then I’d definitely buy the Seasons Pass. It’d be a steal. Otherwise my money will go to the costumes with characters being unlocked with the in-game currency.

idc about DLC chars, i may be interested a bit into Alex but by the time he’ll be available i guess i’ll have enough fight money to unlock him
Depending on how long the grinding takes, I’ll probably just end up buying any character(s) that interest me.

I don’t plan on buying every character anyways. There are some characters I just know I will not be interested in playing. So even playing at a moderate pace I should be able to unlock those characters that I am interested in. If for some reason there are some characters that hit back to back and I can’t get them with fight money then sure I might pay a few bucks for em. Did the same thing with league of legends.

I’ll pay for the season pass, and unlock everything else with fight money (plus I think some of the special editions already come with the season pass)
Does the season pass include costumes and other DLC? B/c if it’s just characters I don’t mind grinding it out, but I think I’ll pick up a season pass for other DLC. If SF4 is any indication, new costumes are going to be a pretty regular thing.
Grinding it out is a good way to ‘extend’ the life of a game, which is what I plan to do and gives me something to work towards.
The only thing I’d probably buy is a costume for a character I actually play, rather than a pack of costumes for all characters.
p.s. my favorite genre of gaming is actually RPG, so grinding and ‘leveling up’ is something I’m used to.
I’m going to wait on costumes for sales on costume packs.
I don’t think the season pass is a bad price, but I’m going ot play the crap out of this game so I don’t see any reason to pay when I don’t have to. Also none of the characters in the first batch are characters I feel I absolutely need either.
Om-nom-nom Skinner Box nom-nom-nom… I’m in the same boat though. I played CoD4 when it first came out because I like shooters and seeing xp pop up pushed that button like no other. Fight Money is going to be the same way, I just know it.
