I bought the season pass because I don’t actually plan on playing SF5, thus avoiding ever losing.
I will grind it out the old school way, however, if I get to a point where earning fight money becomes unenjoyable then I will indeed shell out the $30.
I think many of us are probably gonna grind it out while trying to master the characters we use.
1000 online matches to unlock a character lets go! C’mon u guys know the grind is gunna be real like an MMO right? Maybe even more ridiculous then so. I know they really want us to P2W, because they know we love this game…
I don’t have any particular reason but I don’t really want to grind. It really depends because it can go either way, but knowing capcom, it’s going to be a long process to purchase a character. I don’t think they’ll be planning to drop characters that often, so they’re probably going to cost a lot in fight money. Would rather enjoy that time playing the game. I only spent 35 bucks on the game buying from G2A for pc.
I preordered SFV on both PC and PS4. Gonna get the season pass on PC with a discount via GMG and grind out fight money on PS4. Saves me time and more convenient to have the characters available on both systems ^^
Ended up buying the Season Pass after they released the pricing info on characters and premium costumes. I’d just end up spending the money on the costumes anyway, so why not just use my FM on something else instead of characters?
They released the pricing months ago…
I brought that up numerous times in this very thread.
Ah, well I only recently saw it here: http://venturebeat.com/2016/01/26/street-fighter-v-round-2-yoshinori-ono-matt-dahlgren-take-on-monetization/
Either way, I’ll just be spending my FM on something else.
I will be playing the shit out of this game, so depending on how the fight money thing shakes out I might be using FM to get the chars. But if the grind is ridiculous I will just buy the season pass.
Just gonna grind it out
After buying too many DLCs that I never ended up using, I now only buy extra content once I’m committed to a game and know that it’s something that I really want.
Honestly, the season pass is a pretty sweet deal, so I’m getting it. If each DLC character cost $6 and each costume cost $4 that’s $60. Season pass comes with all of that for $30. I’m down with that sickness.
I duno, it really depends how much they cost with fight money. I only need one or two, and a few costumes, so it’s no big deal for me. If you’re not going all-in on the new characters, it’s hard to tell if it’ll be worth it before we know the prices. 50 games? sure. 200 games? yeah fine. 1000 games? I might have to think about it now.
It really just depends how many characters you think you’ll want. (Though with a DLC main, it makes more sense to pay cash up front.)
I don’t have much interest in the season pass, I don’t really plan to play any of the DLC characters who have been announced so far.
From what I understand, the season pass is only really intended for people who don’t have time to play regularly and who are interested in a lot of the new characters, otherwise it’s fairly inefficient, since by the time a new character comes out, someone who plays relatively often would have already saved up enough in-game currency to buy them.
Still, $30 isn’t a bad deal for anyone who’s schedule prevented them from playing a lot, but who still wanted to try out the new characters.
I’ve actually decided to hold off for a few weeks to see how things play out.
I’m not opposed to getting the season pass, but it depends how much gaming I’ll get in and how much fight money I generate before the store goes live in March.
I already bought the season pass. It is what it is.
If it goes on sale I might just say fuck it and buy season passes. Season 1 is already 24 dollars.
The only character they could come out with that would interest me is Dudley, and by the time that happens I’ll have boatloads of fight money. Grinding time.
Those premium costumes are far too tempting. Def. getting the season pass
already copped the season pass on steam, will grind on PS4 along wit those trophies bruh.
