Keep in mind that if you remove the shaft cover and end up preferring it that way, you’re going to have to buy some new dust covers to fit your naked shaft.
I don’t see the real issue with it though. I play on my friend’s TE which has a shaft cover and on my own stick without one and I perform just as fine on both because my grip is mainly on the ball, not the shaft, so it doesn’t spin much while I’m playing.

Kelter Skelter, if I am understanding of your situation now, removing Shaft Cover would help.
You were gripping Shaft Cover right?
And doing so would have it spin crazy while moving Joystick.
And like fokkusuhaundo said, you will need new Dust Disc.
The one made for no Shaft Cover.

That might help some, but you really need to wax your USB ports for the least lag. People think it’s all about the stick.
I had a question about the size of the ball top. I have large hands but I was wondering when would be the point of getting a larger ball top? Umm how big are my hands? Well …They make the TE look small…
I think most people who have tried a larger ball top will tell you that the increased weight of a larger ball top is not helpful for fighting games. Stick with your current sized one.
Aight… I was also wondering about maybe a longer shaft? With the size of my hand my its hard to play on the left side 25-50% of the time? I mean if I could cut off my pinkie and ring figure I would be set but I was trying to avoid that lol.

If you increase the length, the movement of the stick may feel more loose, so you might consider adding a stiffer spring as well.

Change your grip, something like a wineglass grip or eagle grip with three fingers on the ball might suit you better.
