Do balltops really make a difference?

is there a way to get a ball top that doesn’t rotate? would that be weird to do?

Holy fucking shit WHAT THREAD IS THAT FROM???

Um…tighten it down more? The ones on my stick don’t rotate since they’re screwed on nice and tight.

He means the Shaft spinning.

Yellow ones obviously make you better at Tekken 6. Blue for SFIV. After that, it’s anybody’s game.

No I mean the actual balltop spinning. If you grab the balltop nice and tight then do a QCF the ball doesn’t move but the stick does because the ball is meant to move freely so you can grip it this way. Because of my grip the ball spins when I push it certain ways and it causes me to slip.

Does this mean that you can affix the balltop so it doesn’t spin at all? That’s what I would like.

It’s a new day and this thread is still confusing me. Is the ball spinning as in coming off? Do you have a shaft cover on the stick?

The Ball Top rotates with the Shaft.
That is what I am saying.

Dracula_X is telling you to tighten the Ball Top.
Which is not what you want, because it is not unscrewing.

I could spin it all day and it wont come off, it’s definitely SUPPOSE to rotate. But, its been hard to get used to. I have the Madcatz SF4 TE.

I do have a shaft cover though…

The Ball Top is super affixed to Shaft already.
Even with strong glue, the Ball Top still spin.
Because it is the Shaft that does it.

The only way to make stop is if you make the Shaft not spin.
But it is property of Joystick.

Even Happ Joysticks do spin.

I know what you are talking about Kelter Skelter.
I’m not wrong.

If I remove the shaft cover does the shaft and balltop spin together?

Basically I grip the stick just under the ball top so my fingers are touching the balltop and the shaft simultaneously. This is a problem because the shaft(cover) and the ball spin independently from each other. Would removing the shaft cover fix my problem?

You thought your Ball Top is spinning, when it is really the Shaft.
The Shaft Cover covers the Shaft, which is why you cannot see it.

Shaft Cover spins freely to the Shaft.

So the balltop and shaft are fixed it just appears to be moving because of the shaft cover?

Is that a yes to removing the shaft cover fixing my problem?

I suppose I’m officially done hijacking this thread now.

I don’t really understand the problem you have of slipping.
So I cannot give real answer of how would be if remove Shaft Cover.

But everything that I had said is true.
Remove your Shaft Cover and see how it is.

Ball Top will still rotate with the Shaft though.

The answer is NO, the ball-top and shaft will still spin even if you remove the shaft cover. There is no way to keep the shaft from spinning. JDM already gave you the answer. TWICE!

This is the best thread ever…

Well the issue is the shaft and balltop spinning seperatly because of the shaft cover. If they spin together without the shaft cover on then it might work better for me, thanks for the help.

It truely is the epitome of confusion.

He is gripping the shaft. “Basically I grip the stick just under the ball top so my fingers are touching the balltop and the shaft simultaneously.” Removing the shaft cover would thus allow him to actually grip it and keep it from spinning.

…also did anyone figure out if 30mm bubble tops actually exist

I could go for one of those

Dude, they are spinning together, even with the cover. If you’re slipping on the cover, then take to cover off. That should fix your problem.

There does not exist 30mm Bubble Ball Tops.

scabby796, I see that you deleted your Post.
Laugh.
