They could get rid of half the SF4 cast and put in King Cobra, and I still would be a happier man. Everything about that guy was pure legit badass.

Yeah they’ll probably just make us shell out for another disc again next year before giving us Street Fighter 5 in 2012.

Doubtful. Ono said there will be no “Super Turbo” or “3rd Strike” iteration of the SF4 series.
He did say if there was demand they could make a DLC update with new characters etc. The question is whether that’ll be free or not.
Didn’t Ono also say that there wouldn’t be a Super Street Fight 4, yet here we are playing it? I’m probably wrong but I thought I heard that from somewhere…
Actually it was the opposite. Once SF4 hit consoles, Ono tried his best to make it obvious there would be another iteration of the game without actually saying flatly “We are updating the game”. He was like a gossip-crazed house wife.
It has to be for the reasons I listed. Free and mandatory (provided you PS3 is internet connected.)
I’m sure ono said that either so it could be a figment of your imagination. Not sure how that applies to making a third iteration given the current state of affairs. Ono desperately wants to make a Dark Stalkers sequel so given that, Super would probably be the last Street Fighter game until 5.
