so we kno batgirl is in it, but isn’t there already too many batman characters?
To comic book fans, sure, but not to the casual audience who fiends over The Dark Knight.

So that all but confirms the dlc rumors… words cannot describe how disappointed I am right now. Batgirl, scorpion and general zod? When there are so many franchises that haven’t been represented? You go for another bat character, another superman character(although this I’m okay with considering the movie) and an MK character?
I wouldn’t mind batgirl as much if the roster didn’t already have 6 characters from that franchise(7 if you count grundy).
sigh Guess ill be passing on that season pass then.
Not likely, she’s the Oracle now. Most recent Batgirl was Stephanie Brown but Batgirl hasn’t made an appearance since the re-launch at DC so who knows.
New 52 Batgirl is Barbara Gordon. Her legs in the New 52 canon have been “healed” so she has returned to being Batgirl. This is very worrying because granted I do not like the idea as well of another Batman character even though I am a fan of anything Batman. Not only that but Zod for sponsoring the new movie feels a bit weak, but I can deal with him considering they did great with Shazam/Black Adam and GL/Sinestro. However the worst of the bunch is SCORPION. I detest the idea of an MK character being in this DC game which we were promised. Even if Scorpion is MK’s poster boy; he shouldn’t be in this game. At least 3/4 are DC based. I know I will never touch Scorpion at all.
Just seen this while roaming the internet would make an awesome alt for Superman.
I still think Scorpion is just a trick rumour and that it’s gonna be a similar character to him from DC. If so any ideas?
Also is there any new stages planned? Need more transitions!
I already got the season pass…and I’m kind of kicking myself right now. Lobo was number one on my DLC wishlist, and General Zod and Batgirl are fine and all. There’s a bunch of other characters I would have loved to see before them (Martian Manhunter and the Specter for example), but they’re fine.
Scorpion though!!! Really? MK vs. DC was a horrible failed experiment…keep your MK out of my DCU Netherealm. If you wanted a “joke” character I could have given you a hell of a lot more ideas than that.
I’m not in the least bit excited by Scorpion*, but at least buying the Season Pass lets me think of him as a free character (after buying 3 D(L)C ones). Less annoying that way.
*Assuming it is he, of course…

Or maybe I’m the silly one, because I distinctly remember hearing many times “This is DC, not MK” from many a NRS worker, which makes me think this ‘scorpion’ found in code is just an easier way of describing how a character is going to have a similar playstyle.
Disappointed in Batgirl: knew there would be more Batman DLC, but Clayface would have infinitely been a better choice. Although Batgirl does cover the ‘moar tits’ department I guess…then again, so would Ivy or Zatanna.
General Zod should be a skin, not a character, and it would still market the movie…though I would rather have Bizarro as a skin (with all of Supes’ made to look different accordingly) as the new movie looks so bad. I mean, I find documentaries boring, and Man of Steel looks like just that and for a fictional character no less. If you want that, read Supes’ section in Wikipedia. Besides, they have only confirmed Batgirl, and not Zod.
I guess I’m just dumb for failing to understand how confirming one character from a very reliable glitch confirms the other two, one specifically going against what they had said from the beginning.

It is nice to see Barbra Gordon as Batgirl again though I always preferred her role as Oracle. I could careless rather they have or not I just don’t understand why. I mean she’s not that popular right now. There’s nothing for her to promote like Zod there is. I guess to say they did it because and they finally did. Hell this is the 1st video game appearance of Nightwing so why not her, right?
Though I really do not want different characters as skins. I don’t mind different universes like TDKR Batman skin or Red Son Superman and shit like that.
I’m not that bugged by Scorpion because I’m not that surpised. But I get it and agree keep this game 100% D.C.
If this was a Marvel game and I were Ed Boon I’d confirm Scorpion and release fake screen shots and when finally the DLC released you got him instead
Well, it might not be a foolproof confirmation…but I think it’s reasonable at this point to believe that the leaked info is true given that we’re 2/2 on the announced characters. One time can be coincidence, two times can still be coincidence…but it’s time to start accepting the likely inevitability.
Also: On Zod, now that you say it I can’t really understand why they’d do it any way other than that. Regime Superman even has the appropriate “kneel before me” animations. Take off the cape, change the suit texture, do a voice swap…and bam: Kneel before Zod. If he does wind up being the next DLC character, It makes me very curious as to how they’ll go about differentiating his style from Superman’s.
A “Man of Steel” costume pack makes all the sense in the world as marketing for the movie actually. You could include Zod, the movie superman costume, and maybe Jore-EL or something to tie it up.

I actually agree that Batman Begins was technically a documentary, due to most of it being informational, and I feel that Man of Steel will take a similar route.
Also, just because we are currently batting above average does not mean we will continue to do so, and I think putting an MK character into the game when you could just easily put in a DC character that works similarly would be a bad choice.

We’ve seen the Batgirl trailer now, although I posted that a day or two before then, and he told me it a day before that. But yeah apparently Zod and Scorpion are in fact the last two… I was at least hoping Scorpion was wrong…
