How many characters can we expect after the 4 which were already leaked?
They didn’t promise anything as of yet. But if they include other DLC character, I would expect at least 1 woman who’s gonna be a vilain. I’m actually surprise it seems they didn’t do that in the first place seing how they were currently keeping a balance in the cast. (3 woman hero / 3 vilain.)

We may get some extra characters after the 4 though. I mean I don’t know anything more about that, but that DLC poll seems like a decent indication unless Boon is just trolling. He said he didn’t put MMH in the poll though since he knew MMH would have won by a landslide and wanted to know about other characters.

Really don’t care about her as much as the Joker skins and that her being in the game gets us closer to the next trailer reveal.

Thank you for your observation, although no one really cares, and I believe my point was made clearly regardless of the poor state in which it was made.
Regardless, I’m praying that the next character to be revealed is not Zod as he’d fit way better as a skin than a character, but I don’t see that happening since the skins we’e seen so far are limited to different versions of the same character as opposed to different characters. On top of that, it not being Zod or Scorpion would be truly hilarious as I could sit back and chuckle at all the people who convinced themselves they were in, when Ed Boon hasn’t even acknowledged them or the supposed new four (Power Girl, Red Hood, Martian Manhunter, and Sub-Zero).
Ed Boon clearly had the information about Zod and Scorpion accessible at the same time as the Batgirl glitch, and yet he said nothing about them, which is why I choose to believe in only what will confirm who gets in next: the next gameplay trailer.
After reading the comic and seeing them add Black Canary, Black Lightning, and Captain Atom to the comic roster, what are the odds those guys are showing up in the game as well?
Also superman conquers the world, and MMH is doing…what?
Give me J. Todd Red Hood and ill play this for the rest of my life.
Don’t discount Huntress either. Could always use another Catwoman-like character 
I expect that Martian Manhunter is a DLC eventuality. With these fairly substantiated rumors of Skorpion and Zod, who knows when MM will make it into the game, but I do think he definitely will be available sometime down the road.
As for characters I would like to see:
Atrocitus would be sweet, but there’s kind of already a lot of Lantern support in the game. (although nothing compared to the Batman characters)
I would play Starfire until my fingers bled if she were in the game. And not the dumb redesign she got for the animated DC universe, I want her original design from the comics where her awesome 80’s hair is literally too large to fit into the panel in every scene. I think her powers would fit nicely into the way the game is designed/played as well.
Mera, Aquaman’s wife would be pretty neat also. That’s definitely more along the lines of wishful thinking, but I can dream right?
