I don’t have much to add yet so if you can we can dump any and all resources into one thread and also match up players and Game masters together for happy fun time.

Reserved for shit posting and hype spam.

I read the title as: Destiny 2 and told myself: “No hype needed? That’s cause there’s no hype…”

Now DIVINITY 2 is another story…

By the way you might wanna change the title to Divinity: Original Sin 2 as technically Divinity 2 is one of the previous games in the series.

I have nothing much to say at the moment besides the fact that the game is fucking awesome and if you’re any kind of RPG fan you got to get this game!

Great story, great graphics and the best RPG battle mechanics out there!

And it has THICC dwarfs and humans.

Too bad it seems like the best races for the better classes seem to be the creepy ass elves and reptile people. I hope there is a mod to make the elves more classical looking because they are bit too much on the fey side for me right now. Gonna try a sexy little dwarf knight or perhaps inquisitor, a human shadow blade, and finally a elven ranger.

Yeah I agree the races are weird af…

I usually play a human male, 2 handed paladin and go lawful good in these games. The closest thing to a paladin is a knight and even there the skills look more warrior like… but that’s fine…

Now they say you should play an origin hero to experience the full story, NONE of which fill out my “fantasy”.

The undead look fucking cool but can only be healed by poison and seeing as I’m playing on the hardest difficulty I know I’m gonna get fucked at a certain point.

I’m probably gonna restart as that human male, the Arab name guy, and change his class to knight… but then I’m stuck with a pet skill that is improved by attributes which I don’t plan investing in… sigh…

I’ll check this shit out when I get home.

Not as much appearance customization as I had hoped for so I’m also hoping for some mods. I read you can romance some characters but Lohse looks ugly asf and I’m not trying to romance Sebille either. Elves are depicted strangely in this game and I thought there would be more races, but I guess Lizard and undead versions of each are it.

Still deciding if I want to continue playing as an Origin char or just go custom lol. Afaik, the only thing Origin chars have is a separate questline for their story.

Aside from all that, game is great so far. Prob gonna be put in a lot of hours tonight.

Well my first personal tip is to make sure when you get the option for the npc’s to join you to size up their race and other innate attributes/talents when deciding what class to pick for them. More often than not from what I am seeing you don’t want to go with the shit that they suggest.

Actually restarted… fuck origin characters. Made myself a good ole 2H Knight!

I also went with the suggested companions. We’ll see how it goes. They fill out the major roles anyways. Lizard is a tank, the elf a rogue, the human female a healer, s’all good.

Hardest difficulty, let’s see how fucked up I get in the future.

Btw, some of these quests are creative as fuck! Also the game seems to hide many secrets and doesn’t hold your hand at all. You can easily miss a lot of shit hidden in the background. I found out some shit in my second start that I completely missed on my first and I’m fairly perceptive.

Is this pc only?

Made a Human battlemage. Eh.

For now yeah. It will prob come to consoles like the first one later down the line.

Seriously this game… I’m a bit stuck in fights at the moment so I’m just exploring the island to get better gear or something… so much hidden shit and creative ways to get to it.

On highest difficulty every single battle has been very tight… barely making it. I’m assuming this will change once I get AoE knockdowns, like in the first game.

Also surprisingly pretty good voice acting.

Heh, there is already a mod to make elves look less creepy.

I think it’s refreshing to see elves that look like freakish aliens and eat severed limbs instead of being the standard beautiful Homo superior race.

Man, I loved Summoning in the last game and it’s even better in this one. I can summon something almost every turn now, and the big summons last even longer. I haven’t gotten to play as much as I wanted over the week, so I plan on making a lot of headway this weekend. I want to get my full party at least.

Right now, playing with:

Fane (MC) - STR-Based Polymorph / Summoner (And teleport gloves)
Red Prince - Dual Wield STR Fighter (for that Geomancy buff/control)
Ifan - Ranger (with 1 point in Geomancy for Fossil Strike control)
Lohse - Enchanter (ALL the Aero/Hydro

The armor system in this game really punishes hybrid characters, damn shame.

Oh yeah before you hit level 4 you gotta make sure you have someone in your party with at least 2 points in either polymorph or scoundrel so you can have access to flight/teleportation. It opens up a lot of options. You gotta get the skills from Doctor Leste or Hilde. Saving is really your friend in this game, especially having multiple slots. One wrong response can really fuck you in this game lol.

Enchanter has teleport, and MC has the gloves.

Teleport skill book can be stolen from Gawin at Level 4.

Hrm, are the gloves from a quest?

Yeah one guy in the first city has a quest for you, telling you to go alone (but you can bring ur party). He gives you the teleportation gloves. They are VERY useful at the beginning of the game.

As for myself, I cleared all the fort and I’m out in the marshes.

I love how in this game every battle feels like an achievement. I’m burning trough scrolls and potions like a madman with an optimal party. Getting some AoE armour and shield spells has helped out a lot.

My first encounter with a “shrieker” went as well as you would expect it.

Also what I love about this game is that it doesn’t hold your hand. You can miss out on stuff by giving a wrong answer or just by missing out timed events. Also a lot of the solutions are so obvious but you’re so used to games restricting you that they go right over your head.

Random NPC lying almost dead on the ground, surely he will give u a quest to help him or something, right? No dumbass, just cast heal on him, LUL! There’s a lot of these instances where the most obvious answer is the right one but we’re so used to games now a days holding your hand it never crosses your mind.

Lol yeah this game doesn’t give two fucks about you. You fuck around and attack the wrong person and you get got. You say something someone doesn’t like and that’s your ass. So gloves are from a quest, probably another way to escape, just gotta find them all and do them halfway to rack up that xp.
